The Golden Compass Film

The Golden Compass, based on the novel by Philip Pullman, has received mixed reviews. The cast is impressive, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Sam Ellion, and the voice of Kathy Bates among others.
This is a story of good vs evil, but the possible sticking poing is the negative way religion is portrayed.

I for one am looking forward to seeing the movie. It looks wonderful from an entertainment point of view. The cast seems out standing. From a religious point of view, I don't think Nicole Kidman (a professed Catholic) would lend her celebrity to a movie that would put religion in a bad light. If a person is worried about the affect it will have on a child see the movie and then decide. The lord did give us free will after all.
