Dont you just hate it when you except a new friend then the first message they leave is about joining one of their sites. I just had one this morning so I just deleated them. I think its really nervy dont you? So do you deleate them when a new friend asks you to join one of their sites? Does it make you annoyed?

Absolutely, that is why I look at the questions they have posted and at their responses before I accept them as friends. If I see a lot of that kind of stuff, I do not accept them, I figure I will lose when their ids get deleted or cancelled or questions get taken away. Besides I want discussions I can respond to and enjoy.

I was just thinking about this the other day.....there were a few people that I added as friends and immediately sent me an message to join their work at home sites. It's probably because one of my interests is working at home (my dream of all time), but still, if I was interested I would have contacted them. And, I noticed they don't respond to any of my discussions, not that I had many but still, so I might just delete them as friends since that's all they wanted, you know?.....I don't need friends like that and yes, it does annoy me completely.

I have actually had it happen to me a couple of times, and that is why I am leary sometimes about who to accept as a New Friend on here anymore. I guess some people feel they have nothing better to do than to Spam someone? Personally, I have a couple of things I do online to make some Extra money, and a couple of them are online Businesses but I don't usually let anyone on here know about them unless they ask as why pressure or try to persuade someone on something unless they are interested? I have heard of trying to Earn some extra $$ but to the extent of Spamming us in a message is not the way to go about doing it until you get to really know the person you are wanting to respond with.

I don't delete the friend, but I don't reply to the messages either. I don't really have time to do all those online opportunities... pretty much all of my online time goes to mylot. So it's just annoying to me when people send me those messages. I very rarely delete people because I'm too darn nice for my own good. I have to be seriously offended by something the person says, or they have to be inactive close to a year before I decide to delete them.

Nah... I just leave them be. I seldom delete friends - not even that guy manu something who stole my articles and pasted them at myLot last time (keep your enemies closer lol :P). Anyway, if someone sends me a referral link without asking or without it being relevant, I will just ignore it. Or better this, I may still check up the site and still join if I am interested - but just not under them. But if it is a friend or someone who is nice and polite, I will normally ask for the referral link myself to give him or her the credit. :)

I hate that!!! And another one is when they post them under the making money thing. It is so annoying. I just want them to shut up and have something to talk about. Maybe like ideas to help others that do the consultant thing or something. They are jsut so annoying you know.

No it doesent annoy me at all, infact I encourage all my mylot friends to share their online opportuinties that have worked for them with me-if i already seem to know something about what is being offered, I simply tell them I am already there and it causes me nothng to do that, I mean that is the essence of friendship and networking is it not?

No its not. They are not interesting in replying to your discussions they just want you to join them so they can get a referral. They are not friends. Enjoy your friends!

I highly doubt the kinds of people Terry is talking about really want to be friends. They either send emails with a link saying join my site, or they leave comments for links all over your comment box on your profile page. To me that is spam, not a friendship!

Hi Terry! I have had this happen about 4 or 5 times since joining MyLot and I find it really annoying to say the least. Especially when they go to your profile page and put a whole bunch of crap there! That annoys me to all end! I do the same as you and just delete them. Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

Hi TerryZ! haha..I get what you mean. I have several friends' request that i have approved and their first PM was asking me to join some sites; however, i don't delete them. haha..It does not really bother me my friend but at least I know that is what they are in for. But with some, they became nice friends. Take care and have a nice day! :)

not really hate though but i'm a bit irritated because i don't want it. my friends sometimes forward me of those kinds of messages and i delete it automatically because i'll know from the subject itself if it is a private message or some invitation.
