Ok I honestly dont belive some people. Are they totaly crazy or what they are thinking at point I would never get. Tonight me and my husband and son had a booking at a restourant to celebrate 5 years of marage. So my husband was driving and I was on the phone but we were both paying atention to the rpad. At one point (we were doing about 80km/h) we saw this guy (in his early 20's) cross the road and stoped on the 3th line and looked at us (we were about 100m away) and he just calmly lay down on the road. It all happen in 2 seconds I screamed (giving my sister on the phone a heart attack) and my husband said yes I saw him. So lucky for us the middle line was free so my husband moved. As we passed him another man got aout of a 4 wheel drive and went to the on that was on the road. It didnt look like he fainted or something he was warching our car the whole time. Well call me crazy but if you want to kill your self go ahead but dont put other people in danger.

I do understand your reaction to this matter and I'm sure I would also freak out if I were in that situation. yeah it was very wrong for him to do that. That was very dangerous not only for him but most especially for you and all the other motorists after you. However, I do agree that he was seeking attention and there was a big psychological problem there. I know you were scared but now that you've quite recovered from it, try to empathize for the poor guy. What if you knew him? What if he was a relative? Would you still feel the same way? Hmmm...try to think about it.

The real question is...
If you don't care about him trying to kill himself...
Why should he care about putting you in danger?
If we don't start to care about each other... we are all going to finish in hell... where we belong.
A responsible citizen would have stopped... taken the guy from the road... and called the police.
I just heard yesterday that a man rang the hospital... asking to see a doctor because he was feeling depressed. The hospital told him that he would have to wait two weeks... and he killed himself. Such is the world we are living in today. Nobody cares anymore. It is everyone for itself.

Well I dont give a $hit if he wants to kill him self that is no my problem if people that know him can help than I can do nothing about it. I was on princes highway and belive me you cant just stop on the middle of the road and deal with idiots like him. For all I know it was one of those things where one pretends that is hurt while the other atacks us. we were lucky the next line was free. By doing so even if it was a prank he put 3 lifes in danger including a small child. My religion does not say that I have to help every tom, d!ck and harry or I will end up in hell in fact we dont use scare tactics like other religions. My number 1 is my son and I cant be responsible for a grown man that I dont even know. Sorry but I am sure I will not go to hell over this.

All I can say is that I am really disappointed in your attitude about this.
Until today... you had appeared like a nice person on this site. Seem to me that something else is eating you. Perhaps your wedding anniversary did not turn out to your expectations...

Well, it's easy to say "You should have stopped and helped him" but would you really have done that? I mean, think about it. Would you have really stopped on a busy street, put yourself in MORE danger to help someone you don't know, probably doesn't want your help and may even have bad intentions toward you... I wouldn't have, although I would have reported it to the authorities so they could handle it. It's not that I don't care about anyone else, it's just that in today's world we need to protect ourselves from people that would do us harm.

That must have been pretty scary for you. I'm glad you were able to swerve around him. Hopefully you did report it so someone could come out and get him off the road.

Oh he got of the road ok and they pissed them self loughing over the whole thing. By the way there are a lot of cases here where 1 friend pretends that is unwell and when you stop his friend jump on you.

Hi violeta.Ive sen this also before.Some want to end their lives somehow and figure theyd do it like this.In the middle of the freeway with alot of vechicles.CRAZY!!Holy moly,there are other ways and it seems like a way of getting alot of attention and going out with a bang(Excuse the pun).Im glad you and your hubby saw him and he wasnt in your path of crossing.

Why did you do it? I am glad someone got my point. It could have been done for 100 reasons but the main point is I had my son in the car 99 of those 100 reasons could have harmed my son had we stoped or not reacted on time.

That is crazy and I'm glad that you and your family are ok.
I don't think I would have stopped either, this time and day it's hard to stop and help people because you don't know if they were doing it to make you stop and then they would have jacked your car, money or hurt you in some way. These days you can't even open you door when someone knocks because how many times have you heard on the news that some housewife opened the door and was shot!? This is a crazy world, all you can do is call the police and let them deal with it they are trained in dealing with people like this, not you and your family.

that sounds totally crazy. i have never seen it happen in my country. but i guess there would be too many cars on the road at any one time for anyone to do that. he would not have been able to calmly walk into the centre and lie down.
i think you should report him and hopefully a trooper gets there in time to haul him and charge him with causing a dangerous obstruction or something.

I dont think he would have waited that long to be honest. My nephew (he lives in the area) told me that there is a game young people play (he told me the name of it but I forgot) he said something about counting to 10 and see who will chicken out the driver or the person on the road. Well call me stupid but that is one crazy game. Also there is this huge craze about filming things like this and posting them on the net. when my nephew was still in primary school the teacher gave them a camera (they were doing media studies) to film stunts like falling of bikes and skateboards. My sister found out and went to school to complain along with the rest of the kids parents.

Scary, weird insane.What else can i say? I was disgusted at the idea.But i dont think he wanted to kill himself.He could find a better way, like cross the road when you were at 5 meters, not 100.Sad as it might seem, some people would do this.And bring trouble to the driver as well.I have heard of sth similar here.An old man from a place a friend comes from, as my friend told me,used to sit in a chair next to the road.When he found a suitable target, he would send his leg in the road and have it hit by the driver :S And he would do this, just because some years ago he was truly hit by car, and he got an injury pension, some serious money every month.So now he thinks, 1 month in hospital, so what?I will have higher pension this way!!!!
