when you are bored, tired of being online and yet cannot find anyone to entertain you? Stay glued to the TV box? Look for something to munch? Go shopping? What if the shopping centres are closed? Head to the gym or go for a jog? Snuff boredom in dreamland? These are some mundane activities I (or we?) do most of the time. What are some of the things you do to make boredom interesting? Or are you never bored at all? I am sure you do have interesting activities to share. Kindly share. I need to prepare myself for the incoming holidays when I will be left alone :( Thank You for sharing :)

Hi bighead =) How are you now? Its been ages since we last corresponded. I hope your boredom won't blow your already big head. :P Back to your discussion...boredom is a very rare occurrence to me since my time is mostly occupied with a lot of errands. How I wish I can be granted a year off from my daily mundane activities so I can catch up with what's the latest in the movie theater, be able to continue doing my latest passion and best of all to sleep...sleep...and sleep, lol! Its either you will see me playing online games like maple story (you familiar with the game?), taking a short nap especially now that the weather here is really cold, indulging in some hair pampering, or simply gazing out at nothing. Whatever Holidays is coming up there in your country...Just enjoy or play games with me. =)

I had two days off from my part time job this week and after the first couple of hours I got bored cleaning the house and being on the computer so I decided to catch up on all the programs I had missed over the past week (my husband tapes them for me). 4 hours later my son was due to come home LOL that cured my boredom.

Hmmm... it's difficult to be bored with a kid around, isn't it?

I don't get bored very much. I tend to stay busy. I work full-time, I sell AVON on the side, I do all sorts of things on the internet. I crochet, knit, and loom knit. There is always something that fills my time. I don't watch a lot of television, and I'm not a shopper, so those aren't included.

When I am bored or tired I usually watch TV or video or read. Sometimes I go to the mall and do shopping or buy groceries. On weekends I have to catch up on household chores doing laundry, clean the house and plan and organize things for next week.

I like to crochet sweaters or work on my scrap booking taht's always behind. Or plan something. I love to plan parties and get togethers. Read a book that's always fun. Or go for a walk with the kiddos.

I usually go and just talk to my friends, I also started a band w/ three of my really good friends and since we are starting to get a following, it fills our time and makes it hard to be bored. We also just try to be weird and see how ppl react like screaming journey songs in the middle of our locker bay between classes lol

Hello Whyaskq, Hmmm, even if all the chores are done (hah, like that ever happens), and my time is my own, bored isn't something that I get very often. If I've already done my yoga, and the dogs have been walked, if the laundry is done, and the house is clean, and if I'm not inclined to take a soak in the hot tub (yeah, like that ever happens), and if I don't have a book to read, and if the internet is down, and I'm not up for painting or some other kind of craft project (making soap, moisturizer, or other personal care products) ... then I can always spend a bit of time quietly enjoying a meditative moment or two. Suffice it to say that I've moved my meditative moments over into my Yoga, 'cause otherwise I'd never have that meditative moment. It seems that I don't really need to go looking for something to do -- that something needing to be done seems to easily find me.

The TV is a shared property so I will only watch when it is available. If there is nothing to watch, then nothing. I will usually read but it is easy to reach a time when you just don't feel like reading more. Maybe just stone there in a dark room listening to my receiver. Why are you having holidays? Are you still studying or have you been sacked?

You must have taken leave at the wrong days. I only see holidays on the 20th and 25th this month.

Take one day leave on 21st and half day on 24th and there you have a long holiday from 20th to 26th. Some company even have 24th off while some work fullday :P

How I wish I am still studying full time. It's public holiday and extra long holidays too. I planned for a packed work month but no longer so.

well i would play guitar or piano or sing very loud and try to have fun. Also i would watch tv or i would play games on my playstation.I could also draw but if i don't like it i can try to do something else.Creating things or learning languages i mean i'm not out of ideas. So there's always something i can do.Read comic books for example or just go for a walk. OK so there are plenty of things i can do. So maybe there are some ideas for you too?Sometimes redecorating the home can be fun too.

I hardly get time to feel bored. I am in front of my PC almost all the time. When I do get the chance to shut my PC, I have to shop, cook, care for my pets, clean house, and half a dozen such things. We do not have a TV. It conked two years back, and nobody felt like purchasing another one. Everybody talks of purchasing one, though. So, you see, no time to feel bored. When I do get the time, I pass it doing nothing. I love doing nothing. Just sitting on my porch and watching the sun set, and the myriad colors in the sky, and the shapes of the green trees in the gathering dusk. I usually have a pet or two sleeping on my lap when I am doing nothing.

i would grab a book. and read. that is the best way of killing time for me. i can stick my head in a book and not emerge for hours. i am seldom bored. another thing i have picked up to keep myself occupied is scrapbooking! it's really fun. try it sometime, make something nice for your close friends and they will really be touched, whether it's card or a framed photo.
