My husband loves the Stove Top stuffing. I don't particularly like stuffing but he always buys the chicken boxes and has it with his meals.

Home made stuffing is always best. Stove top has a funny taste. I let the bread dry out some. Sometimes I make a vegetable broth with a potato onion celery and carrots then toss out the vegetables less fat. Add sage, thyme, and rosemary to taste. Then to the bread I add celery and one small carrot, onion and an egg or 2 depending on how much bread I have. I heat the broth to a boil so it is absorbed by the bread better. There are so many ways of makeing stuffing that you can't go wrong. Some people make it with corn bread too.

I honestly am not crazy about stuffing, so it depends on who is coming to dinner as to which I prepare. If I've invited my mom, I make it homemade because otherwise she'll complain! lol! But if we're just having it for my family, I do Stove Top because it's so much quicker. I don't make it that often though, because like I wrote, I'm really not crazy about it, so it's not high on my list of things to make ;)

Homemade, always. Just about everything is better homemade. I make it very simply with bread, butter, poultry seasoning, egg, and chicken or turkey stock. Stuffing is always better when it is stuffed into the turkey.

I don't care at all for Stove Top stuffing, so I always make my own. I use cornbread, chopped giblets, onion, celery and lots of sage. I haven't read the box of Stove Top, but I'm pretty sure my stuffing is healthier.

I like Stovetop Stuffing OK for everyday meals, it is a nice change as a side dish, but I definitely prefer homemade. I make mine with bread cubes, onions, celery, mashed potatoes and some of the water the potatoes cooked in and/or some chicken stock to moisten. As with everything else I make I don't measure a thing. Just throw is all together and mix! Annie

I prefer homemade stuffing. When I am in a hurry and just want a fast side dish I use stove top stuffing. I think it tastes great with pork chops.
