A big price mistake was made by an employee in a Minocqua, Wi gas station, entered the price of a gallon of gasoline as 32.9 cents instead of $3.299. Word of the bargain spread fast, people buying 586 gallons of gas in an hour and 45 minutes til the gas station manager learned about it and pushed the emergency stop. "I was very upset that there's that many dishonest people," she said. "They knew there was a problem, and they took advantage of an employee's mistake and I think that's terrible." If you had that chance to get gas at 33-cent per gallon, would you take it?

Gas for 33 cents would be amazing! However, they were stealing in a way!

I know it is wrong, but I think I would have been lining up to get gas, too. From the sounds of what the station manager said, I don't think the employee will be getting into too much trouble.

lol! someone who wasn't able to take advantage of the price error even asked, "Why do I always miss the good stuff?"

I agree that that is a big mistake that gas price is only 33 cents per gallon,in my country almost $3.000 per gallon,so if there is the gas with the price 33 cents per gallon,it is big question???Is the gas can use on our car or not??

There are two sides of the coin. The consumers might think it's truly a bargain so they made a rush. On the other hand, some actually knows the mistake and had taken advantage. It's not if we take advantage or not but the real big question really is: What happen to that employee who made the mistake? Maybe, he was beaten black and blue and no more job to do.

well the station manager said she could have made the mistake herself, so i don't think the employee was beaten ('hope not). it's really the dishonesty that she's upset about.

well for me, the first thing i'm gonna do before filling my tank is to ask an attendant if the price per gallon is really 32.9 cent, everybody knows for a fact what the right price per gallon is,obviously there was mistake. Sometimes we cant blame people to take advantage of other people's mistakes. Its wrong but still they try to justify it.

Its interesting that the Gas price is so high when around 100 years ago, gas was considered useless and sold extremely cheap. My answer is no, i feel that i can't take advantage of a poor dude's mistake.
