A Rude Awakening!

What's your best/worst/most interesting/ rude awakening story? It's 8:30 on a Saturday Night and I've been reading for bed for the past couple hours. I had a nice rude awakening this morning from my beautiful kitty, Reggie Cat. This isn't uncommon or anything but it sucks even so. I woke up at quarter to 7 on a Saturday morning because my cat knocked over a glass candy dish from the kitchen table. Fortunately there was no candy in it and it did not break but it sure woke me up! I heard this loud commotion and woke up with a start saying "Reggie Cat! What did you do!?" I kid you not. That is what I said first thing. I guess it was a good thing it wasn't a burglar or anything! He has meowed at me at 4 in the morning to open the closet door. That was also a pretty rude awakening. There was also the time that my air conditioner fell apart in the middle of the night and scared the heck out of me as it came crashing in and breaking stuff on it's way to the floor... I think Reggie Cat may have lost one of his 9 lives that night. So, what about you? Have any rude awakenings? Pets or kids jumping on you? Crazy alarms going off? Or anything more serious (hopefully not)? Or are you the type of person who wakes up at nothing!?

Well one rude awakening I;ve experience was: I had just woken up from a scary dream that had Zombies in it. Many users here know that I hate zombies very much! Well I woke up and laid in bed, it was pitch black...and suddenly my cat did this really high, reall quick high pitched meow. I swear, I must have looked like one of the cartoon cats when they get scared, I was on the ceiling!

Ha Ha. That's an interesting one. You know, I have some of the creepiest dreams myself so I know what it's like to have those scary zombie dreams. Fortunately my cat has scared me awake after one of those freaky dreams.... though he has scared me because he wasa sleeping in my bed. Like, I'll be sleeping and move in the night and touch something furry and it'll scare me awake! That's funny.

When the cats sleep on my bed with me I don't scared when I feel them. But if I wake up a little bit, and lay half asleep in bed...and I will all of a sudden jump up because I remembered there was a cat on my bed (and I had either laid on it, kicked it, or done something else!) lol.

ha ha. It's so funny. I always wonder how people sleep with babies in their bed. I freak out about a cat, I couldn't handle a baby!

Both of those things would scare the crap out of me. Today I would say I had a rude awakening as the subtle and relaxing rain suddenly turned into 100s of little pellets of hail flinging at my window!! It woke me up for sure at about 7 this morning. Other than that, the only rude awakenings I can remember is when I woke up late, about 30 mins AFTER my alarm, and freaked out!!! That definitely isn't a good way to wake up.

Oh that's no good! in either case. My cat woke me up again this morning by walking on me. That was fun. Ha ha. Rude awakenings and late awakenings are never good ways to wake up.

One time I came home all drunk after this party and I made a sandwich which I must have not finished. I left it on my nightstand and went to bed. Well my cats must have come in my room and were feasting on the sandwich cause I woke up to all this growling and it totally freaked me out. I was too afraid to get up to see what was going on but then I realized that it was my cats being territorial over my sandwich!

My dog, Roxy, has started rudely awakening me every morning at 6:30 for the past two weeks. I mean she is doing all kinds of howling and carrying on like something crazy. I always tell Michael she's his dog when she is going on like that. :P I don't even know what her problem is. I also used to have a St. Bernard that would run and jump on my bed to wake me up. That is a very rude awakening!

oh no! I can see how you guys are going to act when you have a child :p Ha ha. Animals certainly always seem to give some nice rude awakenings don't they!? Sometimes Reggie Cat wakes me up because he wants me to open the closet door. he hates them being closed. sometimes they are just weird.

I have had a rude awakening. My cat likes to sleep in our bathroom window at night and when she jumps down she makes a lot of noise. Well she did that just a few days after we got her and our dogs were not accustom to hearing that so when she did it, it startled the dogs and they started barking!! Now this would not have been so bad if I had little dogs but I don't. I have 2 BIG dogs so they have very loud barks. Worst of all is I had JUST fallen asleep. I tell you, my heart was pounding hard. They are used to it now so they just chase the cat around the house all night now.
