Today must be a slow news day. I opened up fox news and the picture they have up is a girl dressed in a Virgina tech t-shot with a fake, bloody bullet hole in it. Apparently some kids at Penn State dressed up like dead VT students on Halloween and people are upset because the pictures are up on Facebook. I get people are upset, but how is this news? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316229,00.html

This is SICK is more like it. That act was completely disgusting. And Sedel there are some people who may want to know it, hence its news. The worst part is, this isn't the bottom of the barrel in terms of "why is this news?". Lindsay Lohan and Anna the Fake Smith are the bottom of the barrel for news, especially if its played for weeks on end. /facepalm.

In my opinion, this is not news - yes it may be appalling, but not news. If people would just TURN OFF the TV or stop visiting the entrainment sections of news areas, then these stories would not be published as news. Even if people are interested in such stories, they should not make front page news. What about the oil spill in Korea or the return of the lawyer who was abducted, those should be on the front page.

Definitely. And what gets me is that other issues are reserved as World News and not given as much attention.
