Can You Believe Those Cowboys?!

I can't believe that the Cowboys pulled off that win against Detroit. I swear I must have aged at least 10 years watching the last quarter of that game. I could not believe that Jason Witten fumbled on the 1-yard line! Aargh! But then the Cowboy defense finally came alive and held Detroit to no score. And then, finally, the tying touchdown from Romo to Witten. It reminds me of when Roger Staubach was playing and so many of the Cowboy games came down to the last two minutes to determine the winner. I loved Roger, but it drove me crazy when they had those really close games. It does make for an exciting game, though. You can't go to get a drink, answer the phone or anything else. If you walk off, you may miss the play of the game. Oh, yes, Romo now has a TD pass in 17 straight games, which breaks Aikman's team record. And he has already broken the Cowboy record for TD passes in a season. And this is just his first full year. Things look good for the next few years, as long as the key players stay healthy, and the team recruits wisely. What a game. What a year. Can't wait to see how it all ends. Of course, I want the Cowboys to go to the Super Bowl and win, but if they don't, I have high hopes for next year and the year after that. America's Team is back!!

I wish I could have watched the game. I am reduced to watching blue lines on sportsline.com. If you have to see a game this way you'll know what I am talking about. It's frustrating. We don't get very many games here in Alaska. It almost makes me want to move back to Dallas during football season. We sure do take a lot of heat from the haters up here, but I gladly blead blue and represent for America's Team. Go Barber! He rocks.

I have lived in the Dallas area my whole life and grown up a DIE HARD fan, even when they were having not so good seasons! I agree yesterday's game was stressful to watch and my 9 year old and I both yelled and cheered at the end-even she is getting into it now, which is great because we can share it together! I've been a huge Marion Barber fan, too, and it was great to see him get those touchdowns yesterday! I'm excited to see the new stadium when it opens up the season after next.
