How many people are ice skaters and do you prefer to skate indoors or outdoors? I work at an indoor rink and the weekend brings tons of skaters out to enjoy the sport. Our facility is open all year but business is slow in the summer months.

Although i have not skated in ages, I have to say I enjoy skating very much. It is relaxing and yet at the same time exciting. Its an relatively easy thing to do and you get enjoyment out of it whether with family or friends, although indoor rinks are convenient, outdoor rinks are my favourite, the mood and atmostphere are just more inviting and scenic.

Outdoor rinks are more refreshing and romantic. A fire can be built to keep warm. Indoors looses something along the way by not having to wear a coat when on the ice. Thanks for responding.

either skating is fun I even enjoy hockey sometimes if the players are not trying to injure each other outside is always more fun, its rare to find a pond with smooth ice on it though

I agree with you about finding smooth ice on a pond. Anything that's in or around the pond at the time it freezes, stays there....lol We have a real nice outdoor skating rink in our area that is well maintained. Thanks for responding.
