This coming weekend Manchester United wull travel to Anfield to face their arch-rival and long time enemy Liverpool. Coming into the match Manchester United will be able to rest most of their key players during midweek Champions League game against Roma due to the fact that both teams are already qualified while Liverpool faced a do or die mission against Olympique Marseille in order to decide who will qualify to the next round. Therefore United have an advantage already. Liverpool also just lost their unbeaten league record while United easily brushed aside Derby County 4-1. Although the form suggested United could win this match, a game against Liverpool at their home ground in front of their supporters usually is unpredictable. But I still expect Manchester United to win this one with a single goal margin. What do you guys think?

AW SORRY ! I THOUGHT THIS BLOG WAS FOR THE MATCH 13-09-2008 TEVEZ SCORES AFTER 3MINS. THEN VAN DER SAR AND WES BROWN PANIC AND FUMBLE ON IN AS THEY ARE PUT UNDER PRESSURE FROM LIVERPOOL NEW BOY ALBERT RIERA . THEN ON COMES RYAN BABEL FOR RIERA AND EIGHT MINS LATER IT'S 2-1 . "UNITED COULD NOT COPE WITH THE PRESSURE ON THIS OCCASSION" SAID FERGIE AS HIS SIDE MADE A SERIES OF DESPARATE FOWLS EARNING THEM A PACK OF YELLOW AND RED CARDS. I THINK LIVERPOOL WON THIS ONE gmchu83

After beating Marseille with big score 4-0 at Marseille home at the lastgame for Champion League, now Liverpool is at the top performance to against MU at this weekend. Although MU was unbeaten team champion league record, Liverpool will play allout to be winner supported by the magic of Anfield with the fanatic funs.

yeah . i agree with ya .. Manchester United has the advantage goin to the game as they are on a high after drubbing derby 4-1 .. also . they can rest . key players for the game against AS Roma . as they have already qualified while on the other hand Liverpool would be on a low as their unbeaten streak ended at reading losing 3-1 to them . also . they wont be able to rest key players for the midweek game against Marseille . as they have to win the game in order to advance to next round ..so .. Man United are quite a favorite to win the match .. but then . Liverpool at home is always a difficult game .. its surely gonna be a tight and entertaning match . :) . hoping fr a Manchester United win . :) Go Man U :)

anfield is no one's happy hunting ground... am hoping man u to punch a couple of hole into Liverpool armor... man u has already got away into the knockouts...onlt 3 points against roma is sufficient.. as long as they come... full strength squad for anfield on derby day .. .. hopefully man u will come through good.... man u forever

Liverpool somehow seems to conjure up something magical whenever Man U visit them. I expect Rafa to pull the rabbit out of the hat again and go for a Liverpool 1-0 win over Man U. The goal scorer would be Stevie G. But, given the current form of the two sides and the fact that Hargreaves and Rooney are both back from injuries, Man U are definitely the better of the two teams and are the favorites, but still given the Anfield advantage, I pick Liverpool to nick it!! Cheers! Ram

I think it's gonna be one hell of a game, and I dont think United would mind coming away with a draw. They would set out their stall like they did against Arsenal, defensive and guarded to start with and looking to break on the counter at any givrn opportunity. They'll be more than happy to let players like Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs do al the attacking, while the rest will just cushion the back-line. So it's crucial that United dont concede first. They have the firepower to hit on the counter. I think it's going to be a draw. 1-1 is my scoreline prediction!

Yes! I am looking forward to that match. I will be watching with a Liverpool fan and 2 other friends. I really hope Man United will win! Glory Glory Man United! =D I am sure Ferguson will not field a strong team in the mid week. I hope given the rest, Man United can do well in Sunday's clash. =D

anfield is one of the most toughest places to play football and i think its a well known fact just looking at their records and the way away teams hav suffered there is a a testomomny to the kind of football they play i think its going to be a great match and as usual a lows scoring match and both teams are quite balanced with great players with great skill and temperment but i giv manchester a slight edge only slight as they hav a habit of winning crucial matches
