If you have a strict boss

I am a graduate student and I have a strict master tutor.So I always have a lot of things to deal with and please notice that he is very very rigorous.
But I am a person used to be live at will.
So what can I do?
What's more,my tutor have plenty of items of constructions and he may not have enough notice of my idea or what I feel about.

Give yourself a face to face chat with your tutor and tell him what you can do,what you want to do and most important,express your feeling.

I am also a graduate student,but until now I meet my tutor only three times,I don't know what he want us to do. I think you can communicate with her,tell her what you think,what you want to do after graduated.I think every tutor has his own plan,maybe we don't konw , after all, you don't konw what't her viewpoint.Don't against her,you only need communication, I think she can understand you.
