'Hssssss'... You turn to the left. There it is flying away from you as if it knows you are annoyed by it. 'Hssssss...' now it back on your right to irritate you further. That one little mozzie is having fun playing catching with your eyes and ears. You are trying your best to concentrate on the keyboard. What is your next natural reaction? Ignore it and do nothing? Slap it? Clap it away? Grab anything and hit at it? Or... I reach for the can of insecticide and start chasing that mozzie out of the door. lol. How do you get rid of insects hissing round your head? Do you reach for the Insecticide? Slap it? Clap it away? Grab anything and hit at it? Ignore it Or... Thank you for sharing :)

flying insects are really irritating and the sooner you get rid of them, the better. over here, in India, we get a sort of thing resembling a badminton racquet, but somewhat smaller. it is run on batteries, and you just wave it in the direction where you feel the insect. it gets electrocuted that instant. i have tried it personally for mosquitoes and have found it to be successful.i feel it is better than inhaling a whole lot of poisonous fumes

Exactly! Why must they be so irritating?

Slap it mostly if I can get to it, if not then just wave it away. IF that doesn't work then the spray comes out LOL

You can try using misquito repellant creames. so that the mosquito wont disturb you nor you have to run hitting it one after the other.

Hi,there! Those flying insects are really annoying in summer time. It's pretty common for us to confront with those situations. They always try to attack us. I hate them when they are flying around my head especially at night time.I just couldn't sleep because of the noise they make.So usually we just clap them away if it's at the daytime. If that's in the evening or at night,we have some special insects killers to keep them away from us.Fortunately the killer helps:) Thanks for the discussion and I hope they won't bother you too much in the future.Have a nice day^_^

I run away, especially from wasps! I live in the South and we have those flying palmetto bugs. I don't care what they awnt to call them, I call them roaches. I only saw one in my house and chased it with a broom around the ceiling. I saw one at Wal Mart though and happened to have a tape measurer with me as I was measuring some items I needed for my house - the sucker was 3 1/2 inches and wasn't even afraid of me! He just walked around like he owned the place!

Insecticide is definitely a no-no for me since I'm asthmatic. If I'm reading a newspaper and see one buzzing around my house, I will give it a minute to go away. If not, I will simply roll the newspaper, focus on my target and give it a loud swap. Mind you...I'm always 100% accurate in hitting them.:P I also have this organic stick which is very effective in driving away any flying as well as crawling creatures.

woww... the bunny so fierce :P What about the organic stick? I thought organic is supposed to be good...will it make the "creatures" more strong?

I hate them. We were enemies in all our past lives. I kill them where possible. Though really, I just wish they would go away or not come in the first place. If they want to come, just hide well and don't disturb me. Don't let me see you. You are not welcome.

I think they come to you because you kill their relatives or maybe them themselves reincarnated again. They are afterall insects :P

i don't encounter this often. so maybe that's why my preferred way of dealing is to ignore. however, in other countries, sometimes there are a lot of flies. especially if the weather is rainy. i will either get out of that place fast and go to some air-con place, or just bear with it.
