Wow I haven't been here in a while. Things have just gone so crazy in my life I haven't been online. What happened was someone came and gave me some of her daughter's old things when she saw my non decorated in serious need of a paint job and few other repairs house. She is actually friends with my landlord so the maintenance people came and looked it over and I got pain for the whole house. Ceilings walls and trim for every room, every the cupboards. Also new sink, vents, fixed walls, plumbing (somehow five knives and 12 popcycle sticks were in there), new doors for the outside, doorknobs for the bedrooms, lights all working, flooring, countertop etc. It is crazy but wonderful. The house looks so nice and new. I did the paint job which took forever and I look like a granny with white hair cause I have tons of paint in it. HAHAHA I also got all my shopping done for Christmas and we decorated the house last night and put up the tree. Things are great but very very busy. I hope all my friends here are doing great! I don't know how much time I will have for Mylotting until after the holidays but I will try to pop in now and then. Question: How long does it take to get paint out of your hair? I have washed it a bunch of times but still have lots in there. Will I have to cut it all off and look like a boy?

Boy, you have been busy! :) When I was a kid I had helped a friend of mine paint something. Heck if I remember what it was! LOL But I do remember somehow getting a little bit of paint on the top (near the backside) of my head. No way was I going to cut my hair and look like a boy! :P LOL I never did anything about it other than the usually washing and eventually the paint came out. So either have a little patience or cut your hair. It is your choice. But please, whatever you do... DON'T CUT YOUR HAIR!!! :)

I used the nail polisher remover and got it out. I would hate to cut it off but I have been crazy and done that before. That's why I know i would look like a guy. LOL Thanks

LOL, well I'm not much of a painter but I imagine it comes out eventually. I too have been very busy with Christmas stuff, so haven't been Mylotting as much either. I hope to be more active with it in 2008, but for now we are booked solid with activities. Well, have fun with your painting! Sounds like your house will be GORGEOUS and NEW for the holidays!

well my friend it's good seeing you.second of all i have had many people come to me with this problem.your solution is to put some nail polish remover on a rag and wipe the spots with the rag,i know this sounds crazy but it will work, then make sure you wash and condition your hair well.i had this happen to me before when i first moved into my place and we had to paint.pattie

It definitely sounds like you have been very busy and a tad crazy! The paint will come out...but it will take time depending on how much you have in there. This sounds gross, but it sometimes helps if you let it get greasy and then wash it...feels icky, but the natural oils help loosen the paint. Another option is a hot oil treatment which also sometimes helps!

great to hear that you got such a good deal! don't worry about the paint in your hair. some turpentine carefully applied should do the trick. otherwise, buy some colour dye from the shops and give your hair and brand new sheen come paint job? haha. if it doesn't work then you can always wait for new hair to grow out. :)

omg i know what you mean i thought painting was hard but you re-did your whole house Good job you must have had a blast! I'm not a lazy person I'm a child so i'm full of energy but when it comes to back breaking work i'd rather swim its alot funner but seeing as it is winter there just isn't time for that....I got some paint in my hair while helping my sister paing her room it was hard and we're still not done i love my hair so cutting is not and option what i did was get all of the paint out by useing my hands it takes a while but it dose come out then wash it afterwards and it's good as new if its too hard to do your self 911 some friends and ask them over for help painting can be fun and rewarding but i love my hair and would rather die than cut it but you know thats just me but honestly good job with your house im sure it was worth it
