Does anyone know of a site where I can get paid for writing Poetry?

I don't mean page views like AC does. I mean an upfront payment. I wrote a poem and submitted it to AC (non-exclusive of course) and there was no upfront payment for it. I have to depend in people just stumbling across it in order for it to get viewed. Either that or advertise it somewhere with a link to AC. Page views don't pay that well on AC anyway. I really would rather have an upfront payment for it.

Is it a long poem and how much do you want to get? Although I don't know any I'd recommend at present, I think Helium is a great place for short poems that have just been lying around. But if I see any more like what you are looking for I'll let you know.

Hey there drannhh. It's the Christmas poem I submitted to AC. I have a lot of comments on it so far but, AC only pays for page views. It's kinda short I guess. If you get a chance, take a look at it and tell me if you think Helium would make an upfront payment for it. You can get to my content from the content producer button on my profile here a MyLot.

Hmmmm idk of a place neither. I love writing just for fun and hope to one day publish my own book of poetry, even tho that may be unrealistic, it's a goal of mine. :)

Maybe you should put some of your poetry on Associated Content and see if you get any readers. You can publish them non-exclusive so that you could still put them in your book. It would be a very good way to find out which poems are a hit and which ones aren't. If you decide to publish on Associated Content, please think about using the AC link on my profile to join. You will get paid for page views only on poetry but, you will receive up front payments on articles and stories. My adoption story and my kayaking stories are both doing really well. I also got paid up front payments for two recipes and am getting page view payments on them as well. Think about it.

In writing, poetry or any other kind, it's hard to find places that will accept your work and pay you before they publish. AC is the only site of it's kind that I have found.
I found a site called placesforwriters.com . They have a number of places to go to submit your work for consideration. I hope this helps.

Oh my that is really funny question i ever saw. Sorry to say so but i still haven't heard of such site that offers money for writting poetry. But yeah you can make money by selling your poems to some magazine or book. But still if you find any site that offers money for poems do let me know.
