Constant Content and Associated Content

Philippines

I've read people comparing these two content providers on the Internet. In the discussions, they used to say it's hard to get submissions approved by Constant Content because they demand details. They say they like Associated Content better since it's easier to post content there. However, my experience lately with them has been the opposite. What are your thoughts on the matter? What are your experiences with them?

My impressions are bad.I tried to post there, but they never appoved materials, then more then some of them were really well-done. I am proffesional and really hoped that they will not discriminate the international authors. Actually they have no clear criterias what do they want and have not enough polites to inform their authors about it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you're a really dedicated writer. Anyway, it seems I spoke too soon about my latest submission being approved by CC. I checked just now, and it seems to have vanished. Oh, well, maybe I'll try to post it in AC instead.

Constant Content also has loads of typos on their site which looks really bad.

They do? I guess that means I don't spend enough time on the site to notice.

I have been submitting to both since January. Lately AC is turning down more of my articles. I think they are looking for stuff that is a little more unusual, not broad topics with information that is easily found elsewhere on the internet. Apparently their library is getting full of the same type of article. CC is very strict about proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and I have had a few declined, but were accepted once I corrected the minor errors. AC does have some very interesting content, but I also see articles with a lot of writing errors, also. I think they consider the subject matter more than the professional appearance of the writing.

Yes, I believe AC is trying to shape up to be more professional in the way it screens submissions. It used to be easy and they weren't particular about the details. After getting people to join, I think it is the logical thing for them to do. But I doubt it will encourage people to participate more. As for CC, I've noticed that there are less content requests updates in my email. It's hard to guess what you should fix when your article just disappears, like what happened to mine in CC, considering that they have a long list of guidelines. I have to check today to see what happened to my latest submissions in AC. The new policies it has implemented do keep you on your toes and do help provide quality content, I must admit.

Please read the terms and conditions in detail before publishing your article. You may be missing something they want to see in your article.

Yes, the details should be clear. It helps to read everything, though it would take some time to be familiar with the conditions if you're busy with other things.

I haven't tried CC. I have tried AC. I've submitted 5 articles. 4 accepted-2 performance only (a poem, and a slideshow), 2 for upfront payment (1st is an exclusive, 2nd is non-exclusive. I got about the same for both so I kind of wish I had made the 2nd non exclusive to earn even more :D). 1 not accepted-article was too common. Overall, I'm liking it :D. I got 7.05$ from the articles and my performance payments have earned me .14$ so far.

Nice work! Got one of mine into AC just today after it got turned down by CC for insufficient preview sample (one-third at least). I thought I already had a third given for viewing, but it turned out the administrators don't think so. Anyway, I think I'm also liking AC. Sometimes, it only takes a little encouragement. I can only submit so much because I'm already working as a writer in an office and have other job obligations, but I will continue submitting regularly. It's too bad I can't have upfront payments since I'm not in the US. I hope this policy changes soon in AC.

Yeah, it is kind of sad AC has that policy.Does CC allow international people to earn real money?

With a starting price of a dollar for an article, I suppose you would have a lot of buyers. What are your favorite auction sites or those that give you good results?

I have tried AC for a month now. I have one submission in AC that has earned me $1.94 for the month of October. This is the first time that I have heard of constant content, I want to know if they are giving upfront payment for international members, AC only gives us(international members) performance payments.

Upfront payments are given by clients who buy work that you post or content you write based on available requests.

I don't think that Associated Content and Constant Content can really be compared. After all one is buying your work and the other is offering to help sell your work. Additionally Associated Content will accept pieces that aren't perfect, but they have to not have a lot of articles about those topics already. Constant Content doesn't pay, they just let you put your stuff up and then sell it, but they are usually very picky about the articles they let up.

Good point. For most people, the pay, and how they are paid, would be of utmost importance.
