Ok, this is an informal poll at best, and totally optional to answer....

With all the discussions about Christmas and holidays, and yep, being politically correct ( who came up with that anyway?) I would like to know, honestly, how many of you are actually offended when someone says Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or happy whatever? And if you are offended, why? Someone is just trying to be friendly, nice, caring, in a special time of the year. Why can't we just take it for that? And while I'm at it, women, how many of you have actually been offended when you saw a Santa, and he was saying HO HO HO, I for one have never be offended, if anything I smiled and said Merry Christmas back to him. So, let's be honest here, and leave whatever opinions you might have, after all, I'm not going to hold anyone's opinion against them.

Merry Christmas my friend. If I am unsure or don't know someone I might just say Happy Holidays. There were times when I used to write Xmas and no longer do that. As for the HO HO HO, no way does that offend me at all. What do you expect Santa to say? HA HA HA What irritates me now is they are trying to make Santa skinny. Give me a break, leave the poor guy alone. First they take away his pipe now they want him to have a waist smaller than mine? They say it is to show children that being over weight is not good for you .... get real the is the Jolly Old fellow we are talking about, let the kids have at least one day a year of fun. Even models now days have some meat on their bones. I also hope that I have not offended anyone.

Well I hadn't heard about the 'skinny' of it, but I agree, leave Santa ALONE. lol. Pretty soon children will not have a childhood, they'll just skip right from birth to adulthood! I for one will NEVER grow up! lol And I think it's high time that some of us find that inner child again, go ahead, it's there. oh and Merry Christmas to you and your's.

Yep, just hide and watch us, garage sales that turned into water fights, it was hot! Eating a whole chocolate pie while we did crafts and the kids slept, lol. You'll be glad to know I haven't eaten any whole pies in a very long time, and I have a wonderful man that hasn't learned to grow up either! I finally got to make a snow angel last Feb. and it was fun, of course the dog messed up the angel, so that just started a snowball fight, when I ummmm, accidently hit him with one! hehehe And for Valentine's Day I got big mittens from him, with lambs wook inside! They were better than choco.......well maybe not better than chocolate, but close!!

I saw about the skinny Santa on the world news, it looked horrible with the small waist, looked sick if you ask me. I agree about the inner chid and if anyone knows about tht inner child just let people know to hide and watch when you and I get together. LOL LOL I sure do miss those times but have the fun memories.

I think too many people are just looking to cause trouble by imposing their own values on others. As a Christian, I would not be offended if a Jewish person wished me Happy Hannukah or put a menorah in their yard. We are all free to believe as we wish. As far as the Santa thing, it is absolutely ridiculous. Santa is supposed to say HO HO HO, it's not a degradation of women, for pete's sake! Anyone who is offended by that has straw for brains.

No, I am not offended by anything to do with Christmas but then being raised a Christian that is not surprising. Of course, if I was told Happy Hanukkah, I would not be offended either. A holiday or religious celebration is not a reason that anyone should be offended. If someone decided that the event of some kind of atrocity was a reason to celebrate and they started saying Happy whatever day, yes, that would be offensive. Let's let Santa continue to be a round, jolly elf who likes to say Ho-ho-ho and forget the is politically correct stuff that continues to be pushed upon us.

Well said. I think we need to all push the politically correct stuff back on whoever started it!

Well they are not going to change me, I won't let them! I'm still going to talk, and dicuss Christmas anyway,or anywhere I want, say Happy Holidays, it doesnt't offend me at all! Those words are not offensive,HO Ho Ho, they still mean the same thing to me,that they ever did! I'm not going to take God out of my money, or school, or anywhere I go! I'm going to express my Christianity, anywhere I want, anytime, and they won't make me stop, I'll fight it to the bitter end!
