does any one know how to treat a burn that was caused by boiling water?

run cold water over it. and if you can find some aloe, try that too. Ice packs won't hurt either. You might want to leave it under cold running water for a long time though, it will really help.

Ice for sure...and a trip to the doctor if it begins to show signs of infection and/or blood poisoning.. DO NOT apply ointments like vaseline or put things like butter on it...Try not to pop the blister if it forms..let it happen naturally...if it does pop...keep it very clean and wrap it lightly but air it out when it's not in danger of being soiled or injured...Good luck.. If it is over a large area you hould see a doctor no matter what!!!
