Eggnog-With or Without

I know that eggnog is a favorite holiday drink just about everywhere. I remember drinking it when I was a kid. Now, it seems the grownups had a little extra something they put in their eggnog, so I was just wondering if you take yours plain or with that little extra spike. I have not had it for years because I became lactose intolerant. My youngest daughter loves it, and I used to buy it for her every holiday season.

I love eggnog and I drink it without unless it is a special occasion..

I only had egg nog once as a kid, at a friend of my parents house. With my mom's permission, it was spiked with a little brandy. Not too much, but after 2 I was slurring and staggering, LOL. I was 13 at the time. Now when I drink egg nog, I spike it with butter shots. I love the butterscotch flavor it adds to the egg nog. I'd drink it plain too, but I prefer the butter shots. So tasty.

Eggnog is a drink that I have never liked. I remember trying it as a kid because if my dad gave it to me, it had to be good. One sip was about all I could manage. Tried it again years later when an adult and it didn't taste any better. I will stick to soda as my drink of choice.

I love the rich flavor of eggnog, carolbee. I like it even better slightly spiked, lol.

My vote is without. Love it all by itself. But I live in a split household. My husband would say with. So we have both in the house. Some for my and daughter. Some for him. I've seen they've come out with different flavored nogs as well. Will have to try some. Tis the season...to watch your waisline grow. Fa la la la la.
