I have never heard of that one. Will have to check it out. Does faster make it better? Or is there a special feature there you prefer. More storage, perhaps.

I have both as well, and I use my Yahoo more. Especially for signing up with stuff which ends up with lots of spam :) I actually have 2 yahoo accounts, one ended up being my "junk email" because of all the spam, and the other I went ahead and tried out that new BETA version. Hate that as well. Takes forever to download and open the mail.

It's another case of if it aint broke, don't fix it.I'll stick with the classic version. What I don't like, are their emails. Switch to beta switch, switch. If I was going to I would have already.

I prefer to use Yahoo as my email. I have been using it for years now. I like the classic yahoomail better than the Beta version. the Beta version loads slow, because it is heavy on graphics. When ever I am prompted to switch to the Beta version I always decline the offer.

I go with the newest version. I usually like what's new better than what's old, but then again, I love new technology.

Of course... Yahoomail!!! I tried beta version, but I didn't found it exciting and user friendly. So I switched back to classic Yahoomail. I created my first mail ID in Hotmail but some how I didnt continued and remained loyal to Yahoomail.

i would have to say 'Hotmail' because i have never used yahoo. i am thinking of giving it a try though. thanks for bringing this discussion up you just reminded me of that. so may i ask why you prefer YAHOO over HOTMAIL. i know some people have a grudge against Microsoft and Bill Gates. what's your reason?

I have a Yahoo email. I prefer the classic version over the Beta also. I haven't had a HotMail account in years to I cannot give an opinion on the comparison. I have used Yahoo for years now and I love it. I tried the Beta version and it wasn't for me.

I don't like either. They're both Webmail-only for free users, resting on their laurels because their names were around before the dot-com bubble. Average users will assume the names they've heard are the best. The reason you've heard of Yahoo! and Hotmail is because they're the oldest. In reality, they offer nothing their competitors don't offer. I use a POP client, so they're both out. I use Gmail, Bluebottle, and AOL. Of course AOL is as old as all the rest, but they haven't rested on their laurels. They offer POP3/SMTP and even IMAP to free users, as well as session encryption and whitelisting (not enabled by default). Gmail and Bluebottle both offer POP3/SMTP and session encryption. Gmail offers customizable filters, automatic forwarding (disables POP access), mail fetching for up to five accounts, and IMAP to some of its users. Bluebottle offers Challenge-Response filtering, a spammer's pet peeve.

I favor Gmail. Yahoo. Hotmail comes last. This generally reflects my trust in the developers. Hotmail = Microsoft. I work with Microsoft, but as they are a near monopoly, I have some reservations.

Actually, I prefer hotmail. I began to use it several days ago, and it is very useful.
