I want to make a Star of David for a friend of the Jewish faith.

I'm late for Hanukah gift-giving, but I won't see my friend until next week any how. I like to make things out of recycled materials. Has anyone made a Star of David? What materials did you use? Is it even an appropriate gift? I saw some nice ones made at Borders and they were blue and purple. Should it be a specific color or can it be any color? I'm used to 5 point stars with yellow. Any ideas would be wonderful. Take care

Two triangles, one up and one down, I kind of figured the shape. Blue, silver and white sound really cool. Silver wire sounds wonderful, but I don't have the money this year, I'll keep that for an idea next year. I go to see him Dec. 20th. I hope he does use it for a decoration every year! Thanks for the ideas and take care.
