Ok I'm getting really tired of people screwing up Christmas. You know what I'm not a Christian but I like Christmas and I'm getting tired of these folks tearing it apart piece by piece. First they make it so kids can't have Christmas parties at school, then they make it so they don't have the Christmas program anymore. Then they said Santa was to fat and put him on a diet, now he can't say ho ho ho. What next? We cookies and cakes? I mean seriously they are destroying one of the few Childhood memories kids have that are great and joyful. If you're not Christian fine, neither am I but you don't see me trying to destroy tradition. You don't see Christians trying to destroy Kwanzaa or folk's pilgramage to Mecca, you don't see them stopping Chanukah do you? So back the hell off and stop killing Christmas.

"Hell I'm not Irish but you don't see me protesting St Patricks Day. " LOL but you KNOW somewhere some pathetic sod DOES protest it..thats the sick thing...Some ppl for whatever retarded reason have a need to meddle and mess with ANYTHING that they arent a part of or just dont get..Its crap as far as I'm concerned.... I'll tell ya, I knwo that my kids were totally bummed when they had their first Halloween and Xmas here and found out that the school doesnt do anything for it..Especially my daughter who was in Elementary school at the time...She was use to having a dress up halloween party and a Christmas party at school back home..Even now that they are both older the kids are kinda bummed that its such a touchy thing over here....

I just don't get it I really don't. I mean I'm no where near being Christian but I still enjoy the Christmas programs that the schools use to do. I also enjoy the decorations that were put up. Hell I just got finished making a Christmas CD that has mostly traditional Christmas music on it. Oh Holy night is still one of my favorite Christmas songs. I refuse to be like the rest of these little freaks and get all bent out of shape over a holiday thats suppose to represent peace and joy.

It's getting on my nerves. All the people complaining about saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.. well if you want to Say Merry Christmas then say it but I'll say Happy Holidays. I mean hell whats the big damn deal. If they want to put up a Nativity scene then let em. If they want to put up a giant Santa then let em. Its the freaking holidays. Folks should just let people decorate and be happy. If its not your thing fine, just stop trying to destroy it for everyone. Hell I'm not Irish but you don't see me protesting St Patricks Day.

Hurray for you!!! Now put that up in a blimp and send it over a football game for everyone to see....maybe someone will pay attention. You are so right!!! I'm Christian and don't bother anyone who celebrates their holidays and would never try to change anything. People need to have a little bit more tolerance of each other don't they?

I'm just tired of having to give up part of one of the few holidays that I truely enjoy. Christmas was the one time of the that as a child everything seemed at its best. Why are people trying to kill that for other generations. I don't want my children to grow up not knowing the magic of Christmas and all the joy it can bring.

Truth be told I don't really care to much about Easter.. its not a holiday I celebrate so it doesn't matter to me one way or another what happens. I'm not Christian but to be honest Christmas isn't just a Christian holiday.. it has pagan roots and even for those who don't have a religion one way or another its the time of year where you can be young again. The whole season in general is suppose to promote love and peace... yet little by little its being taken apart.

The people you are referring to must be very mean-spirited and cannot bear see other people being happy and joyful. What terribly sad, lonely lives they must have they deserve to have a real scary "Scrooge" type experience maybe that would help.

I know how you feel. I recently attended my children's school Christmas program.....Well, it was called a Christmas program, but they sang the A,B,C song, the Itsy Bitsy Spider and something about a rabbit......Don't ask me what any of that has to do with Christmas! When we asked about it later, we were told that they don't sing Christmas songs anymore in order to be fair to the families that do not celebrate Christmas. Well, that is wonderful for them.....but what about all the families that do?!

I'm thinking the families that don't celebrate christmas aren't comming to the program so what does it matter. That drives me nuts it really does. If you don't celebrate christmas why in the hell would you go to a schools christmas program just to complain that its a christmas program. Jerks.

I am glad to see that I'm no the only one that feels this way. I am a Christian, but a firm believer in equal rights for everyone. We should all be allowed to celebrate according to our beliefs. After all, we are in America, right? In my opinion, this goes right along with taking the Pledge of Allegiance out of schools. Political correctness gone way too far. Hopefully common sense prevails.

Yea that drove me nuts...I remember when I was in school they even gave you the option of not saying it.. all you had to do was stand when everyone else did. As long as you stood quietly while those who wanted to said the pledge then all was good. SO what if it says "One Nation Under God" God can be anything.. its God as you know him/her. As a military vet that seriously p*ssed me off.

Are you friggin serious on the whole "Santa on a diet" thing...that is so stupid!! That is what he is known for, his big rosey cheeks and being jolly Saint Nick!! Well, if they do that then they need to re-write all of those stories that are ages old of how holly and jolly and "fat" he is! And to me, there is no point in having to go through all that. He is known for being fat, just leave him. It's not like he is setting a bad example!!!!!!! I completely see your point, in my own defense I just don't have the money to do any real celebrating, but that doesn't mean that I am going to stomp all over it. What gets me, is that my oldest son's class is having a party and they want $8 from each student for a party and a present...I don't have that!! And then they want $5 from each student just to get the teacher a present!! I understand what an outstanding job she is doing and every teacher needs to be treated that way...but 5 bucks? That's $13 we don't have. Before it was the teacher that handed out the presents and the kids bought the gifts if they could and a $2 donation towards the party, or just provide some sort of party food, ya know!! It's so ridiculous now!!

Hoo~AH Devilsangel!!! To me, Christmas is the ultimate Everyone holiday. It has Christ for the Christians, flavors with Trees, Yule Logs and other trappings of Pagan lore, Santa Claus for the atheists and agnostics among us, and wasn't Jesus a Jew? So throw up a Minnorah and Viola... A Holiday for Everyone. Heck, we could even put Thor somewhere in there in case anyone still worships him and Odin. ;~D

CHRISTmas not x-mas - Christ is the reason for Christmas. It's not X-mas or anything. It's Christmas.

It's not a winter tree. It's a Christmas tree.

It's not winter break. It's CHRISTMAS break.
Dev, you are right. It's not Happy Holidays. It's MERRY CHRISTMAS. It's not a winter tree. It's a Christmas tree. It's not winter break. It's CHRISTMAS break. And for the love of all things holy, it's not X-mas. It's CHRISTmas. Quit taking Christ out of Christmas. Just like you said, Christians don't do those things to Muslims or anyone else, but maybe we aught to start.
