I know this scam is already old and maybe some of us have encountered this already. But just to remind you people to be careful especially in talking about money or investments etc., I have decided to post this case about my friend and her ym buddy whose account was "hacked".. My friend received a message from her "friend" (who i'll call christy) and was asking for a favor from her to buy her prepaid phone cards and promised she'll pay her later. Christy said she has to go to another country the week after so she needs 5 prepaid cards. My friend, curious, tried to ask christy questions about her family and friends and when christy can't really answer straight, my friend began to doubt and called the mother/family of the true christy and even asked christy if she's online. She said no, so she changed her password and the fake christy messaged my friend using another account saying that she'll cancel the transaction. That's about it! just be cautious always =)
