Poor internet speed used to drive me nuts till I called up the call center of my service provider and asked them to do something about it. They told me to download a net booster. Now, the internet speed is quite ok. I use Reliance data card, and the net booster is a specially made for reliance data card users. Luckily, it is absolutely free of charge.

The main thing happes DAP do is download data in chunks like others Torrent also and downloading in chunks really make it fast but little bit.. but if you try to download from Rapidshare using DAP. it will won't work but its fine to download other applications using DAP

If your connection is DSL i can recommend you to use DSLSpeed. Its free from torrents site but illegal, you can try their evaluation if you want. IMO accelerator does help but its still rely on your internet connection speed. If your connection is not stable, accelerator is not also stable. simply if you have no connection your accelarator software is useless.

I guess most of them have gone nuts over here. There is no ISP which delivers 44kB speed,I guess you have opted 512kbps which means u should get 64kB speed if you are not getting the speed then get your ISP of phone.why do you want to pay for accelerator crap?

The software I am using to download is call flashget. It works very well. It is a chinese software, but the menu can be shown in English. If you need it, you can tell me you email, I'll email it to you.

Well,to this I would say -just use it once, the response will be experience rather than heard of thing.TRY using WELLGET,its a freeware and extremely good.I get a download speed of around 500 Kbps using this.It can issue 128 threads on each download and this makes the download very fast indeed

Sometimes i felt that download accelerators are of no use. Mozilla firefox itself is downloading files with a good speed than a download accelerator. For example, i have tried dap and idm but both have very bad disadvantages. They somehow really irritate me by popping out whenever i dont want to use them. Getright and flashget were quite good but still their speeds are all same as that of mozilla firefox.

I switched to Firefox, which seems to download sites faster or comparable to download accelerators that I use to use. I think it also depends what time of day you use the internet, as in the evenings I find in NZ the internet is slower...
