women tend to form deep and lasting friendships while men are more likely to make fickle friends over a pint or game of squash. What your thinking?

I dont agree with you because we can't say who is the best between man & woman same way we can't say that a woman can make better friedns than a man.

I have a problem with this discussion because my best friend IS male. Out of my female friends with whom I choos not to talk to because they hold grudges, and gossip too much my male best friend dosnt do that. He tells me how it is without beating arround the bush and I dont take anything to heart from him because I know he is not intentionally saying it to be mean. My male best friend is sensitive and we have formed a deep lasting friendship. and you know what he is NOT gay he is strait and has a girlfriend.

Yes I believe this is true too, most of my friends are women, both on and off line, they invest a lot into friendships and will also text you, email you and hate not being in touch. I like to think I am a very good friend too. Friendship is highly valuable, good friends are hard to come by and when you have them treasure them and treat them well.

I think women tend to tell their privacy to their intimate friends, but men,on the contray, they want to keep their expression of strong ,so they seldom tell their friends their depression or annoyance.maybe it is the main reason.

you can't judge that i think, it's just that for me i still have those friends when i was in my hometown and when i got problems they always helped me they even came to my apartment to comfort me, perhaps it depends on the personality of that human... either of a guy o lady can make friends deeper than the abyss...
