Hello there, I am Catholic myself but am not a strong believer. However there is one question I just don't know the answer too, maybe someone could tell me. It is about God, they say God created everything, the birds, bees, planet etc. How did God get here? It is just not possible he was just there. And if he was just there, how come he decided to create, after a while doing nothing or something like that?

the bible does not explain how god got there (in heaven)but it does say how we got here ,who say what? prove what is heard to be right or wrong .a religion has to adhere to something as its authority . christians use the bible however some cannot stand up to the blue print and then say it is no longer relevant.now in genesis it says (gen 1-1)god created heaven and earth.verse 26 let us (who )his son jesus christ . the trinity is not bible based for on this verse alone it would have you think that god spoke to god ,ok people do speak to themselves but god is perfect .god and jesus christ created that is why jesus is called the master worker prov chp8 vs 30.he created because he wanted a to give life , a place to live and food, clothing, and accomodation to sustain life. then a question over authority arose gen 3 vs 3 till end of chapter .(please read )read check to see that all that is said heard is correct ask from where did you get that information that you are basing your thoughts on. do not be misled.here is one for you .if man wrote the bible(mans words )how did man know centuries before yuri gagarin encircled the earth that the earth was a circle(isaiah chp 40 v 22).

Ahhh ... you've just accidently stumbled upon one of the first questions every freethinking individual in the world struggled with, the Law of Conservation of Mass. Essentially, it states that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. It can be transferred, but not just appear out of nowhere, or disappear into nothingness. So, if you consider that scientific law, it's impossible for any energy matter to have just always 'been'.
Really though, if you're trying to find faith, or belief, then you're best not to over analyze. Trying to take the story of creationism, or any biblical account, literally, will only confuse you.
Look .. I'm an atheist. To me, all of this is fairy tales, interesting historical mythological accounts. But in the interests of personal choices, none of this matters. If you believe in a God, then does it matter how he came to be, the why's, where's and hows? Or is the only important factor that you feel that power there, and have faith in that?
If your passion is for the truth, and the why's DO matter, then I predict you won't be religious for long ... especially after hitting more prevelant biblical inaccuracies. If all that matters is a belief that sustains or comforts you, don't worry so much about the why's. :)
