When you donate to any charity, do you ask where the money goes?

This is a topic that has been in the news pretty heavily the last few days. I was appalled to find out that some charities use 95 cents per dollar raising the money. That means only 5 cents goes to the charity itself. Even then, you don't know where that big 5 cents is going - it may be to fund someones salary!

When I was working I used to always give to charity until I found out how much the people collecting got paid, they were making more money than me, I would now prefer to give to the smaller groupls of people that maybe help animals or to those like Greenpeace that basically give their lives to their causes but I prefer to give direct...
