My husband had to go back to Florida, for a while to take care of a few things. Me and the girls did not want to go because he would be able to get done faster alone. On the other hand I could not stay alone with the girls in our home in the middle of nowhere. None of my sisters were available to move in with me, and I do not have any friends. So the girls grandmother asked us to stay with her. I am 24 years old and refuse to spend the night without another adult in the house. I guess it is for protection purposes. Does anyone else out there have this problem? My dad calls me a little scared baby. I assume that is what I am. =)

I'm not afraid to spend the night alone. but we live in a small town and its really safe here. I only have to stay alone one night a year. Its the night before deer season starts. my husband goes hunting with his dad and he goes and stays down there with him the night before.

I could not even do that one night a year. You know my grandma, when we used to stay with her on the weekends, she would always leave the door open at night and shut the screen but would not lock it. I finally got to where I would ask her to shut and lock he door. That would really bother me. I think I hae a fear of someone just running in the house and shooting everyone. I know it is crazy. But that is me, I am odd. I also have the habbit of if I touch any door know, I have to turn the lock. Like when I go and visit my dad or someone else, I walk in and by habbit, I lock the door. When it is my own house, I always deadbolt it. OCD.... lol.
