There is a reason hunting is allowed. The same reason God allows one animal to eat another. Fact of life. Animal abuse is wrong, but there is plenty of wrong with the animal protectors too. I've heard of cases where they did more harm than good. Letting livestock out of their pens to wonder the street and get hit by cars for example.

I'm assuming the people who let the cows out of their pins were not the actual animal abuse officers. They were probably big animal activists. I hate people who abuse their animals, but I don't think just because cows are in fenced areas they are being abused. And I think a lot of people would not see that as automatic abuse either. When a person physically abuses or neglects an animal, that is when it becomes wrong. When cows or horses are in their paddocks or fenced fields (but are being taken care of) that is NOT abuse.

I wouldn't think the cows were being mistreated. Especially if they are getting free health care. I defeniatly wouldn't think they were being mistreated if they were at a vet school! lol. But I do agree with you, that some people are WAY to crazy when it comes to "saving" animals. Sometimes they don't need saved! lol.

I'm sure they thought they were doing the right thing. These people imagined that the animals were being mistreated because they were at a vet tech college. The animals were owned by a farmer who donated time with the animals for learning. Out of it he got the animals health needs for free and the students learned. This was my daughter vet tech class, btw and every animal was adopted into a home before graduation. No animal was abused, but given the best of care.

I HATE people who abuse their animals. Our pets are here to give us love and company. And their love can never measure up to another persons! It's pure and unconventional! And they deserve to be taken care of. So I hate people who could hurt animals. I would defeniatly help an animal from a bad situation. I would never be able to live with myself if I just walked away. I work for PetSmart, and as you may know, they help with the charity PAWS. Every paycheck I recieve (every weekend) 2 dollars is taken from my paycheck and donated to the charity. Of course, I told them to do this. And I also donate a dollar at the register when I buy from there. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it all adds up for them. And another way my family helps animals is we NEVER buy pets from petstores or breeders. All our dogs and cats come for either shelters, or strays we've rescued from the street.

I don't buy pets either. I've rescued many and taken them to shelters. In my area, people have a bad habit of letting their dogs out of their mobile homes without a leash in the middle of the night. Then they wonder why the animal doesn't come back home, and the owner won't even look for them. When or if the dog does return, they beat the dog for not coming home according to some stupid time schedule that the dog didn't even know the owner had. And then we have the ones that leave the pets outside in 10 degree weather, and think that a dog can live that way. These are the ones that beat the dog for howling. No wonder shows like Animal Precinct show the problems, maybe someone who treats their animal that way will wake up and quit doing it. I've spent hours talking to animal control and most of those officers think it would be a good idea to subject some the abusers to the same treatment they give their pets, especially the repeat abusers. One of the sad things is that most of the animal abusers are people abuser also. No wonder that juvenile animal abusers are watched carefully in this area, because if they grow up without determent of some kind they grow into big time pet and people abusers. I know I believe we need to teach everyone to be respectful of anything living. The ones that really get to me are the ones that consider animals dumb. The dog I have right now, I swear tries to talk.

Animal abuse is a very sad thing. It makes a bad statement about a society when they have a problem with their people abusing animals. Yes, I would intercede if I saw an animal being abused and I have done so in the past.

Animal abuse should be strictly abolished. In India the actor salman khan still have police case for hunting deer. we all the people should protest against this.Man is a social animal but he has no right to interupt in other animals life.
