level one dreamer

Its funny that I'm at the lowest level for dreaming here when I consider myself an expert dreamer. What role does daydreaming play in your life? How big a part does it play? Mine started as a kid. I'd daydreamed when I was sad. Now its such a habit. I daydream through my day, I daydream before I fall asleep, in line at the grocery store. I daydream the life I want. Romance, adventure, romantic stands like in the movies. Being successful in my chosen career. Having the energy efficient house of my dreams. You name it I daydream it. Even the collapse of the nation - or the end of the world as we know it - what would we do, how would we react? I have to admit, being pregnant really rooted me in my body. It was so mammillian to be pregnant. So physical. Sure I still daydreamed, but I was firmly rooted in this world... What about you - what do you daydream about, how much a part of your life are daydreams? How much do you daydream each day?

I daydream about foods! - prolly will today - we get our paycheck tomorrow - my husband does and we will indulge ourselves by having a a low budget lunch. I try to eat healthy and we both try to eat frugally - low cost, so its nice to indulge ourselves now and then. What was your last daydream? When was it?

i think every person experienced that in some point of their lives... maybe that's why the line, "i must be dreaming" is such a cliche...

No need to apologize, I'm just wondering why you chose to answer this discussion if you don't daydream. Or do you mean that you night dream while awake? Because its still called daydreaming for some odd reason. What do you 'nightdream" about? :)

Daydreaming is like living in two different worlds for a short time. I usually don’t realize I’m doing it, but I probably zone into that magicial place many times a day. My daydreams sound a lot like yours, especially the romantic adventures that mimic hollywood stories. Sometimes I plan my future in such thoughts, it helps to guide me towards a goal. I think I’ll ponder about the future now and imagine my life in a secluded part of Shangai surrounded by sexy business men in Santa hats.

You are so silly! I'm glad I'm not the only one living with one foot in two worlds.

I daydream so much I feel like I live in two worlds - the real one and the one I wish I was in. I daydream whenever I can, as long as it doesn't interfere with my job (and it usually doesn't). I tend to daydream when I'm at home, either relaxing or getting household chores done. I think it makes life more interesting!

I daydream whenever I can too - walking, washing dishes, before I go to sleep. It does make life more interesting! Ever written down stories you come up with?

i daydream a lot too especially when i'm bored, or when i feel depressed, or when i feel so annoyed. and what i usually daydream about are having my own car: usually it's a Toyota Rav4 (the older model, i hate the appearance of the new rav4, or a Nissan X-Trail); sometimes, i daydream of having superpowers such as teleport or son goku's instant transmission so that i can easily transport myself to any place without hassle; or sometimes, i just daydream that i have a telekinesis and trip all those annoying people while they walk. haha! i know that was too evil but hey, some people are just to irritating, they deserve something like that. XD

I love to daydream, but sadly dont have time to do it nowadays. I used to dream for hours for a better life, girlfriends and other sort of stuffs. Now a days I only daydream when I am sitting in the pot or listening to a rocking new track. I imagine myself dancing to the tunes like MJ.

Daydreaming has its perks and disadvantages. I believe that it is a step to achieving one's goal in life. There is a statement which I read once that in order to achieve one's goals; he or she should think of it, declare it and ask the help of the universe for its fulfillment. But if one is too inclined to daydreaming and he isn't acting upon it for its actual realization, well he could just daydream all his life but no fruits will be seen. In other words, he's just like a farmer who plants imaginary seeds but he won't harvest anything as he has planted nothing. Personally, I like to daydream things to be realized in the near future; but somehow I'm trying to curb the urge to spend lavishly as I know that this will be a hindrance to the fulfillment of my dreams for my own family. With the Lord's help and grace, my dreams will be realized by next year. Some of my dreams during daydreaming include being able to pay-off all our outstanding obligations (pawnshop, credit card bills, parents, sisters or siblings), purchasing a five-hectare land for planting various kinds of fruits, buying a 300 to 400 square meters of land where our house will be built, being able to save up to a substantial amount of money for our daughter's (and only child) education, and putting up our own family business which my husband and I will strive hard to develop and making it prosperous in the future. I'd also like to think that someday, we will also be able to help other people (specifically our relatives) by employing some of them in our family business. God bless and take care. Happy daydreaming.
