Movie moments

I love watching movies. I don't mind romance - when mixed with adventure. My favourite romantic moment is in Some Kind of Wonderful, when the main character kisses his friend for the first time. I'm sure there are others - but this one always sticks in my mind. Not sure why.
What about you. What is your favourite romantic movie moment?

The first that comes to mind is the scene in Chasing Amy when Holden tells Amy how he really feels about her.It is a long beautiful speech. Another is when Keenan(Ryan Philippe) tells Jo(Angelina Jolie) that he wants to try to be together.And then there is when Cher and Nicholas Cage are watching the opera and he kisses her hand.The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet the 1969 version.And there is the scene in Cousins where Isabella sees Ted across the subway tracks.And there is the " Kiss me as it were the last time" scene in Casablanca.And most of the scenes in Mayerling.These are the ones that I can think of right now. I know there are more.

I just remembered three more. The boat ride Audrey and Cary take in Charade, the dance near the river in An American in Paris, and the first time Tony sees Maria in West Side Story.

I recognize some of those - even the ones without titles - on is moonstruck, the other the intertwined tale of several couples.

Probably in the movie 'Far and Away' with then couple Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. There is a moment where Nicole's character is dancing on the stage for money while Tom's character gets ready to fight. But he doesn't want her dancing, so he turns down the fight. When the guy offers him double the money to fight, she tells him to take it because it could get 'us' where we want to be. He pauses and looks at her and says, "Us?" It was the moment he knew she was with him all the way.
