I'm currently planning to ask a girl out for a date on X'mas(if I have the courage), but was thinking of which places to go. Where will you recommend? I understand that forumers here are from all over the world... But what kind of restaruant will u suggest for dinner? And what kind of movie to watch? I hate romance for sure... (Typical guy you see... ;p) And what kind of present should I get? I planning to get something unique, and not common gifts like flowers, necklace, braclete, ya dah ya dah...

If you are confident in your sense of style, take her shopping, it will bore the pants off you but will thrill her. all the best urban

Honestly I have always hated the typical movie first date. Your out with this person for the first time and you's go somewhere where your not allowed to talk. My favorite first dates were going bowling and playing pool. Because you get to see how the person is when they are having fun. They tend to loosen up more and be themself. Where at the movies your sitting in a chair looking at a screen, not really talking. But the end of the date you don;t know anything new about this person.

Agreed! Maybe a meal together can allow us to open up more(Hopefully...).

Places to go Take her to a restaurant, maybe something Italian or maybe French (if possible) Go Ice Skating (either outdoors or indoors) Maybe go see a movie (compromise the film choice) You could also go to a coffee shop Take her to the bookstore maybe As for items or things to bring Try a different color rose, maybe white. An Iris or Chrysanthemum can do too. You can also try with it a few chocolates Elegant candies or marshmallows Something else, a stuffed bear or animal A ribbon or scarf, pink, yellow, white or turquoise Maybe a pendant but nothing too elaborate A small picnic basket or sack full of some of these things, or light snacks A dove ornament or trinket Some sort of sculpture or statue
