Do You Believe in Signs from God?

One of our local ministers says that we never know when we will get a sign of encouragement from God. It could be a word from a friend, a smile by a stranger, a song or something said on tv. I think it could even be from nature. I was depressed one day when I discovered a lone flower blooming by the empty townhouse next to us. This flower was special to my husband and I and we had not seen any like this in years. One lone flower seemed to say plant me and I will give you hope. I also find that when things make me feel unhappy I will come across a mockingbird singing whic lifts my spirits. Any thought?

Yes! I truely believe God sends me signs all the time, they tend to be suttle, but I have honed my senses enough to know they are signs from God. I will pray and He has answered many prayers for me and other. Sometimes People don't see these signs but if you look closely, you will see them. God has blessed me and reminds me every morning that He is there waiting for me to talk to Him. If I forget He will nudge me and remind me that I need Him. I have seen His beauty in nature and in life its self. When I'm feeling lonely He will bring good times to my memory. He lives in my heart and in my home. He has brought great joy to me and comfort knowing that He is there looking out for me and the ones I pray for. I wish this Year that others will talk with Jesus and God and become closer in their relationship with Him. God Bless you! Hugs!

Thank you. The older I get the more I see messages to keep me going. I guess we all need a kick in the butt once in the while. We just have to be ready for the message.

Good thoughts, thanks! Just goes to show us that He is everywhere. That rock you stumble over may be a message. Some things are so simple yet powerful.

Yes! The messages he sends are so suttle sometimes that we don't see them but if we keep our senses honed to God, then we see them easier. I have so much faith that I know God is on top of it before I am. But I still say my prayers because thats what He wants me to do, to talk to Him about everything. But it is a great Joy when my prayers are answered, I just flip out and I laugh and I thank God for hearing me, fully knowing He already had things in His hands, but I still thank Him anyways. God Bless you Jill with keen senses, protection, love, peace and happiness! Hugs!

I agree with you. I find that it comes from things in nature or from my friends. This year 3 deer appeared on our front lawn on the morning of my wife's birthday. We both love watching deer but it is unusual for them to be on our front lawn but there they were in plain site. I was able to take several pictures through the bedroom window. It was so cool and we both claimed it to be a gift fro God for my wife's birthday.

Cool! I know there are skeptics who would laugh at us, but I just have to believe that if we pay attention we can learn a lot.
