Gift Wrapping

Do you love it or hate it? People seem to usually fall into one of the two camps, either you revel in it or it's a horrid chore that you get over with A.S.A.P.
I'm in the "love it" camp. It makes me feel so seasonal and I spend time curling ribbon to make them look extra special. I know it'll be ripped open in 2 seconds flat, but a pretty present is really exciting and they look so nice under the Christmas tree.
The only downside is that I'm really not very good at it! I always seem to make a lumpy, uneven job of it! At least you can see that I made the effort though I suppose!

I love to wrap christmas presents. I have two ways of doing it. First is for adults then for kids. The presents for adults are wrapped perfectly with bows and ribbins pretty tags and all. Then the kids stuff. It just gets wrapped. No fuss with there presents, for a couple reasons. 1 beacuse it will be opened in no time and 2 because there presents always seem to be in odd shaped boxes. and they are hard to wrap.
My tip for Christmas presents is...
Wrap each one persons in the all the same paper. For instance my 3 kids have 3 different papers I dont use tags because of it. And when i put the presents out they dont know whos is whos till i tell them which paper is theres. i do the same for each family. like my sister in law her husband and kid gets snowman paper and my mother in law gets santa and so on.

Oh I really like that idea for kids! It sounds like such a fun way to keep the guessing excitement going! I think I'll have to pass that on to my friends with kids.
Last year there were a few presents under the tree that the tags had fallen off of and there was some confusion. It certainly would have saved time if we'd all had different paper.

Its not my all time favorite thing to do but I really don't mind it. My hubby is a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping though. If it has a little bump or its just not looking right, he will start all over!!

I have a friend like that. She has really bad O.C.D. though and uses a ruler!
I want them to look nice but I don't have the energy to be that finicky!
My mum's probably the worst though. She often doesn't even bother to wrap things, just sticks them in a plastic grocery bag!

It's because it gives you that festive feeling isn't it? You get caught up in the excitement of gift giving and making it look pretty. I love it!

I honestly don't care about gift wrapping one way or another. It is definitely not one of my favorite things to do, but I don't hate it. I really do like gift bags, though. They seem to make so much more sense to me. It doesn't take as long to put it together, it doesn't make as much of a mess opening, and it can be reused.

I use gift bags sometimes because they look tidier than my messy wrapping! I never write on the tag either so that the person has the option of re-using the bag. It's a way of recycling!

I do the same thing. I just put a card inside the bag. Sometimes, though, I may take a bag with no designs on it and draw a picture and have some fun if I'm in the mood for that.
