The cable guys don't wear booties.

In the Comcast commercials the cable guys put on little booties before walking on your carpet. Unfortunately they have been in my house 3 times in the last month walking on my new living room carpet, and not one time did they put on booties or worry about tracking through my house. Once they even left garbage lay in the middle of the floor.

I would complain to the office. Our cable provider is Armstrong and their guys always wear booties.

Sounds like you have a better cable company. I wished we had a choice like with phone companies instead of only having one cable company in the area. I am thinking of switching to satelite.

You should definitely just call 1800COMCAST. I promise you something will be done =]

Besides complaining to supervisors I would take pictures of anything they tracked in or left behind and send them the bill for having your new carpet steam cleaned/shampooed. here is no excuse for that kind of behavior. You are paying them which in a sense makes you their boss. If you want them to wear booties or at least take their grungy boots off before walking on your new carpet you have every right to say so.

Oh yes, you're right. And I even tried to get them to use a different door and the last time they were here, they pretty much ignored my existence. Tomorrow, I will be well prepared for them.

I would complain, too. That is unacceptable behavior. They should have respect for you and your home. And, if someone doesn't complain about it, they will keep doing it to everyone's house they work in.

Ok, they are supposed to be out again tomorrow. If there are no booties I will be sending yet another email of complaint to Comcast. I think they should pay me to accept their services. They didn't even call me back yesterday when they said they would call back to set up an appointment. I pretty much had all I can take with them.
