I went to Petsmart today to pick up pet supplies and Christmas gifts. When I got up to the register, I chit chatted with the girl and I checked out as usual. Apparently, the register had run out of paper before the person ahead of me checked out. After I put in all my info for the card, the waiting on cashier message pops up. She changes the papers and does whatever and a receipt prints. As I am walking out the door, I decided to look at and it was not my receipt. I waltz back over the the register and of course a manager is needed....after about 10 minutes they could not find any record of the transaction, so I offered to pay again. Both managers said don't worry about it and sent me on my way.
Now, I am pretty sure that I was not charged. I did call they bank and they said that it could take a day or two to clear at which point some of the items will have been used. Should I just be happy that I didn't have to pay for my $30 or so worth of stuff, or should I try to go back and make them take my money?
