I have not properly understood and embraced the new mylot ranking and changes. I feel more is need to be done in the area of earning improvement so as to make the site more lucritive. some of us have been working for some time now without reaching payout. How do you feel about the rankings? Has the star ratings stopped? What is the benefit?

i think now there are many types of ratings and rankings in mylot. the new addition gives our ranking in each interest group. But I still can't understand how it is calculated.I do not think it will have any significant changes in our earnings and all in mylot.I also think that the earnings should increase.

infact, nobody knows how the interest ranking/rating is computed with respect to earnings.

They amuse me. That's about as far as it goes. I've gotten some amusement out of looking to see what I'm rated highly on, just because it says something both about how other people have rated me and what I spend my time on. I don't really think they're a huge deal personally, just like I don't think the star ratings are a huge deal. I'm here for the discussion and social interaction more than for any kind of ratings, even though it can be fun to see a high one. As for the money issue, I'm not sure what to tell you on that. I get paid every month, so I don't personally have something to complain about there.

Most of it is just writing discussions and responses that are long enough, on topic, and helpful. I talk about whatever interests me, and when I start discussions I usually make a fairly long topic starter to get people interested and thinking on the topic, which goes a long way towards getting you more quality responses as well. I think the other thing that really helps me is that I'm very well-read and researched on the topics I respond to most, and thus I have a lot to say in those areas. If you make short posts, or posts that don't really add anything that hasn't already been said to a discussion, then you're not going to be paid much.

l believe the star rankings were a good thing that mylot did. showing your level of success here. but when the interest rankings came up that just changed everything else. why should we be ranked twice? this just doesn't make any sense to me. i believe that things were better off the way they was at first.

keminem, that is right. the new interest ranking surprised me like the former respondent explained, some may join mylot today and rank higher that you the old member in that interest group. Hope it does not affect earnings. thanks

I do not like it at all. At least three of my friends are giving me minuses because I do not agree with what they say. I am supposed to say that other religions besides believing in Jesus Christ lead to heaven and that man can work his own salvation, and other stuff then I will get a higher rank as a Christian according to the myLot member rules. So in order for me to get better here, I have to go against Jesus Christ. I also have to say that animals are equal to and better than people, and for someone who tried hard to get pregnant and then adopted and only got two, that is hard to do.

oh that is frustrating, don't worry there will be improvements. we may have to work harder to earn better.
