A quiet night at home or a night out on the town?

What is your ideal date night? Would you rather stay at home and have a quiet dinner and a movie on the couch with your lover or would you rather go out to dinner and go to the theater for the movie? Me, I think I'd have to go with a quiet night in. It's more romantic to cuddle on the couch with your lover than going out and sitting in hard chairs at the theater. What do you think? Which one would you prefer?

I'm not big on the theater either, but then I am almost always home at night so that gets old too. I think I would rather go out someplace and listen to some really good Jazz or a some Rock and Roll. We have a local Community College that attracts some very good groups and their seats are comfy. We also have this lovely park with a fountain where they have Jazz musicians come on Sundays and just jam for a few hours. Its great and the weather here lends itself to that kind of thing year round.

Yeah staying home is boring at times, but going to a movie is just not my thing. I've never really liked them. I always wait til what I want to see comes out on DVD - how boring is that...lol. A nice Jazz club/event would be a nice place to go on a date night. Thanks for sharing!

Easy question, the best part of my day, is after I've checked the mail, made some coffee, picked up around the house, had dinner, and then the lights go low, doesn't really matter what we watch, just laying with my head on his lap and his arm across my back, it's relaxing, and it's the best part of my day. So by far, I'd take a stay at home night over a night out anyday.

i prefer a quiet night at home also than going out. although it is nice to go out sometimes, it is also nice to stay at home. especially now that my kids are older, if they are both home, its nice...we play games or watch a movie.

I would prefer a night at home watching a movie with my lover and drink some tea and have some thing to eat. I don't like to be amongst people so i'd rather stay home than going out.Maybe a going out to a dinner in a restaurant would be nice but i always prefer staying at home. Except during the day ofcourse, because staying too much at home isn't good either.

We have a theater projector with surround sound in our house, so I much prefer watching movies at home. I don't have to worry about a babysitter, or the people in front of me talking, or the person sitting next to me's cell phone ringing. I love to go out with my husband, but we would rather go places that we can bring the baby with us. We don't trust anyone to keep her for us and we have no family close. We do both often. We just don't go out to see movies.

I love both. I think right now I lean more toward dinner and a movie out. This is because my mom lives with us and then there is the fact that our tv is on our room and I get uncomfortable trying to watch it while on the bed. This will only last as long as my mom lives with us...hopefully by March...

For me it would have to be a quiet night out.I would love to go out for dinner and sit and spend time chatting. If we are at home, some work would crop up,phone calls would come and we can never spend quality time at home.As for going to the theatre I am not very keen, I would prefer to watch a movie at home.

it all depends on a number of factors. if it's a good night and the weather is fine then i would definitely go out than remain in doors but if the opposite happens then i would remain indoors. to answer you question i would rather go out to the theater for a movie than to remain indoors. we could always cuddle at home after the movie. ^__^

It all depends on the boyfriend and the movie. If it was a oldie movie and it was a boyfriend I have been going with for a long time, then I would rather see it at home. But if it is a new guy and it was a movie that I haven't seen, I would rather see it at the theater. There are times when "seeing " a movie can be just an excuse to be close and then there are times when the movie is more important.I could see me being very mean to a guy trying to romantic as I was trying to see a movie like The Departed. But I would love to cuddle up and see Harper.

my husband and i always, always spend quiet nights at home. so it would be fun to go out and really paint the town red! (hahaha) i'd love to go dancing and get drunk. (another hahahahha) or watch a rock concert. or just something out of the ordinary. but then again, it's always nicer to be comfy at home on the couch watching prison break or heroes on dvd. :)

A quite night at home all the way! I hate leaving home all together much less going into town :-). I guess going to someone else's home here in the neighborhood is ok but, I would prefer they come here instead.

Me too, I'd rather be inside the house with my man then out there because over here in Miami, It's too crowded, with a reservation, It's still going to take me 45 minutes to get in the club or the restaurant. I think that sometimes It's nice to go bowling or to the nice beaches downtown at night, or ice skating. But I definitely prefer staying at home to cuddle. :)
