I am lucky enough to have a good metabolism, so i am slim almost no matter what i eat. Well i mean, i need to control myself a bit, but never been on a diet. And well, I am almost an addict to chocolate hehe. That was never a problem, but a while ago for the first time i was having some and i ate a lot. And afterwards, i felt guilty, as if i had done something wrong. It's something that had never happened to me, so i was a bit surprised. I know there are many people, specially women, that have this feeling all the time and not only with chocolate, so my question goes mainly to them: have you ever felt like i did? why? how do you deal with it?

I am not a maniac for chocolate.I mean I like it, but i would prefer to have other snacks instead something sweet. So, no, i have never felt guilty for having much chocolate, just because i have never had too much.A bar is always enough for me.However, i have felt guilty for eating too much meat at some meals, but not for long. You see, i am a meat fan :)

yeah I have a big big thing for eatin chocolate, but only the good stuff with at least 70% chocolate in a bar. I don't feel guilty for eating it either, you can rarely find yourself eating too much. Its when I binge on fatty starchy foods such as pizza or fries that Ifeel really bad, or cakes and biscuits! You are lucky you don't put on weight.

I don't put on weight if i more or less dont act like a pig lol. If i ate like one alllll the time, with time i would end up putting on some weight. Truth is, though, that i don't put on weight easily, which is a good thing for me hehe. thank you for replying.

Yes all the time, I have a nice platter I like to have out when I have visitors, I fill this with different chocolates but I am very naughty I keep eating them before the visitors come, I love chocolate but I know sometimes I go overboard with it I just can't help it...

I think it has to be with certain ingredients of it...they affect the brain's chemicals, specially those which make us feel good and happy, and that's why chocolate can be so addictive.

Chocolates are my weakness. If I like I tend to go overboard.I feel very guilty s I know that's the culprit which is making me put on weight.I just took a vow not to eat sweets for sometime. Now with the festive season on, you know how the temptation is.Anyway so far so good.yesterday I was out with my friend for the christmas shopping and we went to a store which has lovely homemade chocolates lots of new arrivals for the season. The shop keeper offered samples for tasting and somehow I refrained from having it.

I so understand how you feel lol. It's so hard how you feel. I even had to forbid myself to buy nutella anymore...only maybe once or twice a year, because otherwise i always end up eating a whole glass of it in a day or two, and i feel badafterwards lol. thank you for replying.

No. There's no such thing as too much chocolate. Sometimes I feel bad that I go through my chocolate too quickly, when I don't have much and am trying to make it last, but I've never felt bad about quantity. Women need chocolate. At about 3 o'clock. 'Strue.

lol yes. Not only chocolates but cakes and ice cream too. Sometimes, my craving is so strong that I would go to the supermarket just to buy chocolates or ice cream. Othertimes, to my favorite bakeshop to buy cake. I would eat a lot then when I get so full, I would feel guilty and would ask myself why did I eat that much ? Funny ... but true.

I am not like you, meaning that I don't feel the necessity to go and buy it...If i don't have it at home I am fine, but if i have it, then i find it really hard to refrain. That's why i forbid to buy certain products at home...it was buying them and almost eating them right away.

Well when eating chocolates I do not feel guilty. hehehehe As soon as I finished eating I feel guilty that I have eaten too much chocolates. I too love chocoaltes very much. Well one way to eat chocolates without being eating too much is to eat in a smaller portion at larger number of times. I liked chocolates that are chilled in the freezer very much. Well since you have a good metabolism you may not have problem eating too much of chocolates.

I do have a good metabolism, but if one eats way too much, specially sweeties etc, he or she will end up putting on weight, so i try to control myself a little bit. Thank you very much for replying.

No I've never felt guilty for eating chocolate-maybe a bit stupid after I eat so much i get a tummy ache but never guilty. That's because i only eat it once in a while. I try to avoid sugary foods for my waist line and the health of my teeth! But I must say, chocolate is one of the most beautiful things in the world and it is amazing. Hale to chocolate and the inventor of chocolate. I say there should be a national chocolate day!

Well there you go. If i only ate chocolate once in a while i would never feel guilty for eating it, even if i knew i had eaten too much. I would apply the motto "one day is one day". And about the national chocolate day idea you suggested, i totally support it! hehe.

No I never felt guilty for having too much chocolate because I have those dark ones and they are not really sweet. Besides, I am not really obsessed with having chocolate unless it's holiday seasons (I don't know why). So, I am lucky to say that I almost never experience the guilt!

I don't have a good metabolism and I still love chocolate. Sometimes I over eat chocolate and then I have to deal with feeling guilty. Part of why I feel guilty is I hear my mom in my head commenting about my weight, love handles, or clothes. Other reasons is because I know that most things are fine as long as they are in moderation and that what I did was certainly not moderation. This doesn't happen often, I usually have a good grasp at what I should be doing and then do it. Of course, when it does happen, I just pick myself up, dust myself off, and remind myself that what is done is done and can't be undone.

Hi. LightninStrike. Yes, I have felt guilty plenty of times before. I have been eating chocolate all of this week and I wished that I have not. I don't want to get so addicted to eating sweets. I will have to train myself more better from now on.

I've never really felt guilty for eating to much chocolate. I really don't eat that much chocolate. I tend to keep it out of my house because then I will eat it all. The only time I really eat chocolate is when I have cravings for it. Even when I do have those cravings for chocolate I try to ignore them and just not ave any chocolate. But ignoring my cravings does not always work and I ave to find chocolate some whay some how. When I get my chocolate Inever feel guilty tough. If I was to eat 2 pounds of chocolate I still don't think I would feel guilty about it. It's not like it's something I would do every day.
