04 GT V6 Tire issues?

I have a 2004 GT V6. Does anyone else have major issues with the tires on this model? I've had to replace at least 6 tires this year alone.
I've been told the tires are low profile and "hard" so they dont' take bumps well and just eat anything on the road (ex: nails, screws whatever)
Anyone else have issues?

I know a lot about tires, why do they need replacing? Are they wearing in a weird pattern, or is the tread wearing out very fast? I f it is just they pick up nails etc, all tires do, it does not matter if they do not take bumps well orare low profile. What is the tire brand?
