What does your husband, wife or significant other call you?

It's actually a very cute story. I live in Florida and I meet my husband in California when I was on a business trip. After my return to Florida, we talked every night by phone. One night he mentioned that since I have the same first name as his sister, would it be ok if he called me "Doll". I thought it was very sweet and told him "of course you can as long as it isn't a pet name you had for someone else before" LOL He replied, "You just look like someone who should be called Doll" Two weeks later, I was doing a family search and trying to find the name of my grandmother. I had already found a cousin on that side of the family so, I called her and asked what my grandmothers name was. She replied "Doll". I told her there was no way that could have actually been her name. She said to call her dad and ask if he knew her real name. Long story short, I got a picture of her tombstone which clearly said "Callie (Doll) Burge" Her entire family, including my cousin, had always called her Doll. What is your pet name? Is there a story behind it?

Wow, that is some story. It's totally incredible that he would nick name you the same name as your grandmother. Funny how things work out sometimes. You look like a Doll. wow My hubby calls me sunshine when he wants some loving,if you know what I mean. He calls me dear if he wants me to do something for him, like get him something from the kitchen. He calls me Hon, when there are other people around. And when he's mad at me he calls me bi???. Just kidding lol.

That's what friends are for. It's nice to get a chuckle now and then, isn't it. I have read very few good chuckling stories here so when I come across one I always let them know how much I appreciate it. Have a good day.

There is, but it isn't as cute as your story. It is pretty cute, but not that cute, and, sorry but I'm not telling. It is too irreverent. Not inappropriate, just irreverent. I'll protect him, too, by not saving what my pet name for him is either. When we taught together it would have been pretty funny if one of us had slipped up and used the pet name, but we never did. Whew! I called him honey once though and that got a rise of him AND the students. You could hear some of them saying "Awwwwww."

My girlfriend calls me KALU. I am from nepal and in nepali KALU means to be a bit dark. I am not so dark, but she prefers calling me that and I find it sweet and like her calling me KALU than calling my name.

I met my s/o online, and after moving to PA, his guys at worked tagged me the Longhorn, I moved up here from Austin. He usually refers to me as the Texan, and his best friend calls me Texas Tornado. The one thing he told me about moving up here is that I could never loose that Southern Drawl. He used to send me an email from work, when he had a few minutes and tell me 'he sure could use some drawl right about now', that was his way of telling me to give him a call. lol
