There are several surprise teams this year, which one is the field good story? The Green Bay Packers in possibly Favre's last year The Cleveland Browns from laughing stock to possible playoff team. The Minnesota Vikings, Adrian Petterson has excited a team and their first year QB isn't losing games. Any other teams I'm forgeting?

In the AFC, I would say these teams have been good stories: Patriots-have withstood every challenge so far after being caught up in the cheating scandal in week 1. Expected to win their division though. Browns-not many people thought they would be challenging the Steelers for the division. Derek Anderson has been fabulous. Colts- 11-2 record w/o Marvin Harrison most of the season. Also were expected to win their division, but did not blow it when turmoil set in. Chargers-started off 0-2 and lots of people were panicking about head coach situation early. They seemed to right the ship and could be competitive in playoffs with LT, Gates and a solid defense. Jaguars- 9-4 record and will make the playoffs with D. Garrard at QB. Stout defense and most teams don't want to see them in a 1st round playoff match up I would bet. Steelers- 9-4 record. Big game this week with the Jaguars, but will make the playoffs and had some injuries this season. *Titans and Texans get honorable mention, but play in an extremely difficult division and will most likely not make the playoffs. In the NFC, I would say these teams have been good stories: Cowboys- 12-1 record and only lost to undefeated Patriots. Even that game was closer than the final score indicated. Roac most likely goes through Big D and if they make the Superbowl and face Patriots...anything can happen in 1 game. Could be 6 championship banners hanging in Irving, TX soon. Packers-like you said...Favre's last season and it is coming together nicely. 11-2, but will have to somehow go back to Dallas most likely and win there, Favre has terrible history in that stadium. Buccaneers-Tough defense, overcame injuries at RB and QB at points this season. Impressive job by Jon Gruden...could be trouble for somebody in the playoffs. Seahawks-people were counting them out early this year and they pulled it together with a runningback by committee approach. Good job by Holmgren and hasslebeck this year. Giants-Overcame the NY media and Eli's terrible games and are going to make the playoffs. Perhaps just to witness another debacle by poor Eli. Good job though this season overall to be where they are with injuries and everything else a team in NYC deals with all the time. Vikings-great defense, great offensive line. Best young RB in the league! double digits favorites vs. the Bears this week. Good story in Minnesota for sure. The rest of the teams in the NFL are either mediocre or terrible it seems. Enjoy the games this weekend and the looming post-season.

Great answer. You're right about the Jags who would of thought they get rid of Leftwich andGarrard missed a game or two and they still will make the playoffs. The Colts have done a great job without Harrison I like Gonzalez and think he'll be good receiver for them. Steelers new coach and injuries will make playoffs to.

I follow football, but only who's winning. My brother is a Dallas Cowboys fan and they seem to do surprisingly well in my opinion.
