A Bit Of Luck Is What I Seek

What is the key to good luck. Why do some people have good luck and others don't.Often times I find my self wondering why I have to put forth an extra effort to get things other people get automatically. Like I'm new to praying so I pray for things. Other people I know have never prayed in their lives. And are not even s kind-heated as I am, and they get all their hearts desire. What is the key.

Goodluck? For me it's something which isn't real, some people just happen to have good days. I do feel some are more lucky in fortune and how things happen but I don't believe that what they do makes any difference. ~Joey

joey, thanks for responding to my nonsense again. I am at a loss for what to think anymore. Probably because I spend more time deliberating the "how does it work" then I do in focusing on getting my part done. I guess it all depends on the person and what it is they are looking to accomplish.

i think the true key to luck is attitude.... looks things positivly so u will be more optimistic and efficient.... think that u lost something today to get something better tommorrow instead on blaming ur luck... surely result follows..

Thanx for responding. I have been trying the "positive attitude" strategy for a little while now. It seems to have helped some. But I can't really say that because I need to get out in the real world more. But I'm kind of trapped where I am so that's hard. But when I do get a chance to be around more of the living I'll see if my attitude can remain peaceful.

Well all that i can say is life is unfair , if you have no luck , you have to work even harder to earn what you want .

Sometimes that's all there is to it. It's one big game of "fight or flight" I guess. Somethings really aren't that complex when you really break it down. Thanx for your input Sir.

You are like Jeremiah. But God says that we should not envy those people who seem to have everything. Try to count your blessings and name them one by one and see what God has done (this is a song) which speaks of the truth. We just don't realize the blessings that we receive from God.

Thank you for this. I'm not much of a spiritual being. But I have learned to be more thankful than I have been in the past. I just wonder sometimes if it's my lack of effort, even though some don't put forth any. Or my lack of patience, same as above. I guess I may never know. I believe in time I'll be comfortable with not knowing. I just need more practice.

Actually with the way my mind works you couldn't make any more sense. It's like I have to see what area I need the best luck in and stick with it for a while. Find my niche in other words. If I focus maybe things will start to turn out for the better and open up new possibilities. Thanx roni.

I guess that's just because people can have good contacts, being wealthy, having lots of friends (good , not fake ones). I am not a praying person, I like logic. If they have what they want or is because they fought hard to get it, or they had any help, or even if they are rich. In my opinion, i just pray when someone is sick, even if i don't have lots of faith. I think we need to fight for what we want, that makes us who we are now / in the future. I am not a 100% religious person, and i don't think that matters a lot to me. For religious people, maybe, they can believe in miracles. I don't, i call it luck, i call it a bit of "destiny", but i also say, we make our destiny each day. If you fight, you have a thing or you get a job, that will be in the future. But if you don't fight, don't wait for a miracle. Hmmm, maybe what people thinks its a "miracle" its just work + luck. You fight, you think you don't pass (but how you fought, made you win, with few points of difference - that's luck). So, in the end you think its a miracle. That's my opinion (and my comment has nothing that can harm a religious person, that's not my intention, but if i harmed you in any way, I'm sorry)

Thanks for responding. I'm not here looking for a right or wrong answer. And by no means am I a religious person either. I pray at different times. And my thing is my prayers are mostly for personal gain than anything else. I should have posted this discussion as a hypothetical because I just want different views to see if I'm alone, to see if it's a mind over matter thing you know.? So no harm done o.k. And I really dig your avatar btw. I hate rodents but from afar some of them are very attractive.

Well, i just know that if a person thinks she will make it, she makes it easier. But i don't believe that some people are lucky since their birth. P.S.: Yeah... my avatar is cute (hehe), he seems sweet ;)
