Today, (Sat) my wife & I attended The Minneosota Orchestras Christmas concert titled, "A Spirit for the Holidays". It was the Minnesota Orchestra wirh the Magic Circle Mime Company. They are well known for their Far East performances in festivals & major Orchestras in Japan, Taiwan,Hong Kong,DSingapore, and China. They've performed in childrens Festivals in Taiwan New Zealand, Malyasia and many other places as well. The show was a Chrsitams show about the sounds, music, of the Holidays. A regular song was performed by the Orchestra for about 15 minutes then the first Spirt appeared. She was called, Silence. She did not like the loud music of the Holidays so in typical Mime fashion she pulled a huge panel across the stage floor shutting off the sounds of the Orchestra. After a minute the conductor agreed to a more low keyed song not being so loud. Silence loved it. Then she conducted the Orchestra in a couple slow quiet Holiday songs. then in the crowd came a loud whistle & horn honking sound. It was "Noise" who loved the loud sounds of Holiday songs. He moved about the stage loudly of course. Then near the end Music appeared with an accordian. She was the mime that eneded the concert with a couple sing along songs. All told we had a great time enjoying the Orchestra and the mimes act as well the Sopirit of the Holiday as we sang along to Deck the Halls, Sleigh Ride, and Jungles Bells finishing off with We wish you a Merry Chrsitmas. Have you ever been to an Orchestra Chrsitmas Concert like this? How about a High School Chritmass Concert or play? They are so much fun.

I have been to orchestras & also attended at least one Christmas concert. But not for long time.
Our sTate orchestra would be very expensive to attend.
There are local orchestras, such as the Police Band, which is not really a true orchestra.
I would sure like to visit an orchestral performance, but somehow I dont think my husband would.

I go to a lot of the civil concerts but they are nothing
compared to the Orchestra Concerts. I talked with my wife
and after the holidays we plan on going to another concert.

I have seen plays at the university when I was in school but as for going on my own, really never had the opportunity or anything to do that. This Christmas concert you attended sounds like a lot of fun!

It was very entertaining to say the least. We plan on going
to a regular concert after the Holiday season just to hear
a true Orchestral classical music. Thanks.
