Home Alone

It's Saturday night and I am home alone. My son was invited to spend the night at a friends place and my husband is away overseas in Thailand and doesn't get back until next Thursday. This has been the first night I have been alone without my two boys AND it's the first night my son has ever been away from me. I miss him already and it's only 9.35pm. Who is home alone tonight? what are you planning on doing? I'm going to take a hot soak in the bath to soothe my aching feet from standing and walking all day at work, then I might just watch a movie and go to bed. Hmm I wonder if we have any more popcorn? LOL

No, not a bad thing at all - I just felt weird being on my own after so many years. It hardly ever happens :)

You should be grateful to have some time alone. Kick back and have a ball. Sounds like little Maddy is really growing up. Just think, in twenty more years, he may be a father, which would make you a grandmother, LOL. Isn't that just so sweet? Maybe, he will name your first grand daughter Anna, LOL. I do not know why I keep torturing you with that name. I just really like it a lot. If it is pronunced ona and not ana. I will probably name my first daughter Anna.

LOL @ being a father - that's a long time coming. He is growing up fast and now he is wanting me not to kiss or hug him in public and only to hold his hand when we cross the road. We woke up late this morning for school and we had to walk (only 5-7 minutes away) and he didn't want me walking him into the classroom and told me to go home LOL I was a little hurt because I had not seen him the whole weekend and when they dropped him off late last night (after 11pm) we both went straight to bed. Oh well I think that is boys for ya!

You are right, that is a boy for you, lol. You will have to learn to deal with the fact that for a little while, he will feel like having his mother dote on him in public is cramping his style. Poor mommy, LOL.

I know it is horrible the first time your child stays away - specially with your husband not being there - my advice though would have been to make the most of it - have a ball and enjoy the peace, I know I would x

Hi mummymo, it was nice to have a night to myself - it felt weird not having my son there but I am happy that he had so much fun anyways. Hope all is well with you :)

I'm not home alone but I can identify with you. when my hubby is not home, sometimes i can't sleep! that's strange, cos you'd think with the whole big bed to myself I'd just sprawl out and enjoy myself. guess that's what comes with marriage! hope you are enjoying having your son back with you again!

I did enjoy my night on my own but still missed my son. He did not get back until late last night and we both we straight to bed. We woke up late, rushing around trying to get him ready for school, so I did not have much time to catch up with him. Its half day today and he has another play date with our neighbor so it will have to wait till dinner time. How are you squaretile? haven't seen you online for a while! hope all is ok with you :)

Well I'm just here relaxing away, mylotting, watching a little late night TV just to see. But nothing much here. Maddy you enjoy that bath and get you some rest too! There's nothing wrong with a little alone and relaxation time!

Yup I agree. It's just weird that I actually am by myself for the first time in so many years. I did enjoy my bath then watched LOTR on tv and actually fell asleep on the couch until the next morning LOL
