Spanglish, written by James L Brooks, contains elements of three genres, comedy, drama, and romance. The movie features tw main characters Flor, a Spanish-speaking housekeeper and John Clasky a restaurant owner and devoted husband and father. The movie chronicles the various relationships btween parent and child. An attaction grows between John and Flor and if John wasn't married, I believe these two would have a wonderful relationship. However, the relationship cannot materialize, because of their responsibilities to their children. It's refreshing to see parenthood displayed in such a manner. Two mature adults who put their childrens welfar before their own needs and desires. Maybe it's because I'm a mother that I love this movie so much. There is something so enduring in this film. I think like Flor, I love John Clasky, who wouldn't want that kind of father for your child.

I saw that movie twice. The movie’s not bad, what I didn’t like was the acting of John’s wife, she was acting weird or maybe too much. Flor does look good but her looks in that movie doesn’t impress me but hey, she’s supposed to be a helper. I like the daughter with curly hair, she’s beautiful.
