I am looking for fun and easy Christmas craft ideas that I can do with my kids. I have done the usual stuff with them, such as Santa's and Angels and whatnot for the wall or tree. I would like more ideas. I have looked online for ideas, but many of the crafts I find require materials that I do not have to work with. I'm on a limited budget this year and can not afford to go buy craft items that I do not have. My kids are ages 6 and 7. The materials I have are as folows: construction paper in red, green, yellow, blue, lt. blue, brown, black, purple, orange and pink; glitter in green, red, blue, silver, gold and multi color; plain white paper; crayons; tissue paper in lt. blue and yellow; and glue. I would like Christmas craft ideas that I can do with my 6 and 7 year old using only these materials. Any suggestions?

Have you made chains of paper? We made chain garlands of paper or construction paper and put them on the tree. I even when the kids were little took an old card with Santa on it and put a chain on it. Each day the kids got to take one off showing them that Santa would be coming soon. Those are easy to make and decorate. They can be put just about anywhere.

Yep, we have done the paper chains. We have made them for tree, general decoration around the home, such as hung around door frames, etc. and have made a countdown to christmas with one as. Never thought to put one on a card, that's cool. Thanks for your reply.

Oh, I have the perfect solution for you, and it's totally free!
It's a kid-friendly online sketchbook called Kabillion's Little Director, and can be found at http://www.kabillion.com/littledirector. Maybe your kids can use it to make drawings for Christmas cards.
It goes further though. After the youngsters get done drawing, they can choose to animate their art and create a whole cartoon, complete with music, voiceovers and all the tools necessary to tell a story! The possibilities are truly boundless with this site and even I'm learning from it as I spend time with my kids making their cartoons. I only know about this because I work with Kabillion but I'm so so happy I can share this with my family.
I hope those solves your arts and crafts dilemma. Happy holidays! :)

Aside from making a Christmas tree with the decorations, or making the angels and maybe a wreath out of the green paper, I have no idea. You could make Christmas Cards out of them, use the glitter to simulate snow. You could also make Christmas scenes, use on of the construction paper as back ground and cut out trees, etc, and paste them on top. That is all I can do right now.
