Do you make your own cards - this could be interpreted two ways - either you take a Christmas Picture and have it done by a shop - or actually hand make cards?

I'd love to make my own Christmas cards but I'm really not creative or artistic enough to do so. So, I just pick up an assorted box of cute cards from a card store or something.

The important thing is, you think enough of your friends and family to take the time for these cards!

That's true. I mean, I'm sure they'd appreciate it even if their card was covered in badly drawn stick figures dancing around a badly drawn christmas tree and opening gifts, haha. Or I could just use construction paper, felts, and such to put together something cute. Maybe next year though. This year I'll send out cute pre-made assorted cards =D

I've handmade them this year for the first time since I was a kid. It was fun at first, but so stressful that I don't know if I want to bother again! I used glitter glues and seemed to smear every single one by accidentally putting them on top of each other before they were dry and made one big mess. I got so annoyed with myself and stressed out that my partner took over in the end to finish them!

Sounds stressful, I'm glad your partner was there to take over. Its the thought that counts right? I love your screen name by the way.

Do you play character based games on the web?

Thank you! No, not really. Are there any you'd recommend?

No, I usually buy mine from Hallmark the day after Christmas so I can get them on sale.

Great idea, all of our cards and Christmas presents will be in January - maybe depending on when his paycheck falls we can hit some sales - or he can - too much for me! I'm sure a lot of folks shop right after Christmas! Likely, this year, we will give small gift cards and everyone knows they will be a bit late. Next year, as always, I'll order presents on the web or get them from neat flea markets. We have a lot of indoor ones and one three level one. I love them!

I've made them a couple of times as a kid, by hand. Presently I make a couple of the cards by computer using programs (photoshop, word, publisher, that sort of thing).

I like the idea of making cards, even by computer, you put part of yourself into it. I think its great that you do this. Do you visit family for Christmas - or mail them a card?

I design them on the computer and them print them out. Sometimes I paint the picture or do a pen and ink or charcoal drawing and scan it into the computer and use this for the pictures and then write a poem for the inside. Actually, I make Hanukkah cards not Christmas cards.

I think the christmas card with your kids or your family are taking over. I am looking at my cards and only a few sent the traditional card with a nice note or family newsletter in it. Not like I can talk, I sent out pics of the kids but at least put them in a card and tried to write something. Of course my handwriting is so awful no one can probably read it!

I think you're right - and as far as your handwriting - I' m in the same boat. I have all sorts of excuses - I'm left handed, I'm an artist, I should've been a doctor (maybe of eastern medicine). Yet for me, its pure laziness - I can have really pretty writing if I try - and with a great pen!
