Hady Mirza from Singapore win the tittle of the first ever Asian Idol 2007? What you think? Does he deserve to get that tittle? As a Singaporean,im proud of him. But,during the performances..i dont think he do any way better because of the choices of songs does not match my ears and so do other Asians viewers who does not know what it means for one of the Malay song.I began to like the songs now after listening to it a few times cause i know the meaning..hehe He beats Jac,Mau,Puong,Mike & Abhijeet. Can't you see,Singapore is a small island compare to other countries..like Malaysia,Philippines,Vietnam,Indonesian & India.Still,he gets the highest amount of votes overall. Its actually great that this happened.=) I think other than the many Singaporeans out there who had voted for him, there's the second votes from other Asians countries who maybe have choose him and so..he's like conquering the votes.Do anyone of you out there who cast a vote for him? Do he gets many votes because of his looks and style? He is one talented guy but..from what I see from the performances show, the way he perform is normal and typical..there's nothing special.Just like ordinary shows..as what the judges did commented not as good as others. Its a fact for now,he's the Asian Idol!Congratulations..he Makes Singapore really proud lar.. winksss..!!

As a Singaporean, I am most definitely proud of Hady Mirza's win! However, looking back, I felt that his performances were quite lack lustre and that there were many performances that outshone his. Perhaps there was an "X-Factor" that captivated the many who voted for him, that evewntually delivered the crown to him.

Congratulations! I may be biased to say this ,but when it comes to performance, I really would say that Mau deserves to win. However, from the very start, I knew that Mau will never become the first Asian Idol because the Filipinos are not "Idol" fanatics compared to other Asian countries. mau didn't even get the support from our local press and television. She is not as popular compared to other Asian idols. Filipinos don't spend too much on text votes.

Too bad that Mau does not have enough support..she's a powerful singer..Ouhh,now i knew that Filipinos are not much into this idol competition..sad thing! But,Mau have shown her own style of singing to Asia..great!

The Phil. Idol was over shadowed by Pinoy Dream Academy which was aired over ABS-CBN. The latter has similar format with the former. Had Phil. Idol been aired over GMA or ABS, for sure, Mau is now a Big Star. It's very sad that her talent is not being given credit.

i'm actually one of those filipinos who were promoting the asian idol competition before the competition ever started. the sad fact is that since there's a big rivalry between television networks here in the philippines that the other networks 'actively ignored' the ASIAN IDOL competition -- even competed by formulating their own idol competitions. I even heard a rumour that GMA7 are gearing up to buy the Philippine Idol francise and they were planning to revamp the whole thing and pretend that it never ever been started before -- disregarding and totally deleting ABC5's efforts during the 1st ever Philippine Idol. I found that rumour disgusting (even if it's proven untrue) and it's another thing to hate about the network rivalries between GMA7 and ABS-CBN.

Hi dianagnes, Congratulations to Hady Mirza + Singapore !! but to be honest - i was rooting for JAC or MIKE to win the title last nite, especially when almost all the juries chose Mike, Jac or Mau to be the winner... oh well... the majority voted and they chose Hady.. so.. it's all fair and square. i do think he is a good singer/ performer + he has great looks!... but, TO ME.. he didnt stand-out like Mike or Mau did,... i just luv Jac - so i only have good comments for her... it was a breath of fresh air, too... dun you think - listening to Hindi Pop song and a cute Vietnamese love song, during the competition ?? =) all, in all... i luv'd the show... i agree with the jury from Philippines - the idols - ALL OF THEM... should have a road-show in all the countries... ASIA WINS last nite... we great talents on this earth!! peace!
