I now have 8 cats VERY ticked off at me!

I am getting the most evil vicious kitty looks from all over my house at the moment! And I don't think it's going to change any time soon. I had to resort to using flea spray on them instead of the usual one spot drops that I normally buy. Talk about an adventure....and wishing I had shoulder length welding gloves to get me through it! Two of the cats, Missy and LittleBit, kept running through the house trying to get away. It took me, hubby, and my daughter to catch them. And then I had to keep my hands far enough back to keep them from grabbing me with their claws. At the moment, Midnight is the only one that has calmed down enough to let me pet him. Even Vixie, my bathroom tenant, hides as far down in her kitty bed as she can like she is hiding from me. **Sigh** I guess I'll have to endure their wrath for a few more days, until they decide they love me again. LOL

lol, my dog is the same way. If I do something she doesn't like, I pay for it for DAYS! Funny how they can hold a grudge, huh?
If you had to use that stuff because of lack of money, check out ordering it online, I've found it to be A LOT cheaper! I can't think of the name of the one I use, petmeds.com? Crap, I'll look it up and get back to you. I think that's what it is. Good luck!

Oh, by the way, I found this hilarious music video and thought you would get a kick out of it. It's soooooo funny. It's called "The mean kitty song". I hope you like it. Here's the link

I think it's 1800petmeds.com, or something along that line. It just happened that the Hartz spray was the only thing I had besides Sevin Dust, and I can't use the dust on two of my cats because it affects their breathing pretty badly. I prefer my Frontline Plus, but you hit the nail on the head....it was because I couldn't afford it at the moment. I will have to look into that site again and see if I can get some from them. It IS way cheaper than going to our vet and getting it. Thanks for reminding me about it hon.

My, my, my....aren't you the humorous one? LOL! I've heard Gissi's mean growl, and I don't like it one bit....and I'm at the other end of the phone line! You see....it's my job to be the doting, spoiling-Gissi-rotten auntie, NOT the spraying-Gissi-and-braving-Gissi's-sharp-teeth auntie. I get to spoil, cuddle, and love on him. YOU get to do the dirty work. Hehehehehe! PLUS...braving 8 ticked off kitties times 20 claws each is quite enough for me thankyouverymuch. ROFL! Love you hon.

Hi Kat, how are you I have just been house/cat sitting my brothers kitten for the past 3 weeks what an adventure that is , Every thing in the world is a toy as far as she is concerned, nothing and I mean nothing is safe with in a paws touch, my glasses were the first thing to go flying My brother warned me but i had to learn the hard way, and her other form of mischief is to get in to every thing, sink, dishwasher cupboards washing machine any thing she can climb into, My brother phoned me tonight and said when they got home no cat and they looked for her and here she was in the shoe cupboard I guess when I got my backpack out she climbed in and then had to stay there for about 6 hours until they got home, I felt sick when I heard about this but was advised that is just Abby's little tricks that backfired on her , no harm was done but I still felt terrible.

Awwww....don't feel bad hon. Most likely, she was very happily snoozing the day away the whole entire time. And all I can say about the rest of it is "welcome to my world!" LOL! LittleBit's latest toy is the chain on the ceiling fan. There are some totes sitting right under it and she attacks the chain every chance she gets. She even pulls on it so hard that she ends up turning the light on. Believe me, the adventure is never ending. I hope you've recovered from the kitten shenanigans hon. Now take a deep breath, let it out, and relax. Big hugs to you hon.

Prance has actually gotten herself wedged in one of my dresser drawers! Sheesh! Talk about an adventure trying to get her extra plump white furry butt out of there! And boy did she yowl the whole time. But do you think it stopped her from getting in there any more? Noooooooooooo! LOL

LOL Sound like my Simba. He found his way into my desk once and couldn't figure out how to get out. He was howling up a storm until I opened the door. I was like..All you had to do was push, ya nut. lol He also likes to rush into the utility room whenever I open the door. Then I'll close it and he'll immediately throw a fit. Wants to play with the shoestrings but doesn't like to be locked in.

Aww--poor kitties..LOL. I only have to contend with one evil look from my cat Pyewacket. He's the only one of my two that I have to routinely clean his ears out, and yes, the idea of shoulder length welding gloves are needed when I do that. I have a routine..I get every thing ready in the bathroom, including the towel that I wind up wrapping him up like a mummy to contain him. Then carry him into the bathroom and close the door so he can't get out...the squirming he does..yeesh. Once the task has been accomplished I open the door and he makes a bee-line out, shaking his head out of the glob I just put in his ears, he won't come near me when I go near to him, and not only does he give me nasty, evil looks but hisses at me. All is forgiven in a few hours and give him something to eat--hehe

Hahahahahaha! Please don't tell Pye that I'm laughing at his expense! But I just can't help it. The visual of him all snugged up in the towel with just his head sticking out is too much! LOL! I had to use a sweatshirt sleeve for one of my kitties, PLUS the towel to keep her claws from poking out at me. But that was years ago before I learned my lesson the hard way. All of my kitties have forgiven me except one...Prance is still giving me the evil eye and running from me. It'll be a day or so before she decides she loves me again.

Oh wow! It's good that your friend is willing to help you out like that. I know what you mean about not being able to afford to take the kids to the vet. I have to admit, I'm in the same boat. I'm a few months behind on getting the shots for my two dogs, so I haven't been taking them for walks just to be safe until I CAN get them in. No use taking chances. Give Pye loves for me please. Hopefully that cyst will go away quickly after he gets his meds.

Well no doubt am going to get A LOT of evil looks from Pyewacket for awhile. I have to admit I've been a bit slack in cleaning out his ear. Just today I noticed he has this lump thing on the side of his head and under his ear, no doubt some kind of cyst/infection thing...crap! I don't have the dough to take him to a vet, so I did a rather frantic email to my pet rescuer friend and she's sending me some meds for him (free)...since she is a pet rescuer she knows how to treat kitties..thank God! So do I...but just don't have the means to get meds from a vet--

Just tell them to get with the program...No spray means fleas and fleas mean scratching and scratching means going bald....LOL...Ask them if they know how to spell "POUND" that will snap them right out of it....

Most of them have gotten the idea that it's helping them. Prance, on the other hand, is still pretty miffed at me, and she doesn't care if I spell out POUND a million and one times...she's sooooo hard headed! It doesn't help that she has me wrapped around her furry little white paw either. Hahahaha!

ewwwwww he thought of so many cats turns my stomach!! i am not a cruel person and would never abandon or hurt a cat but i just think they are such dirty animals i cant understand why anyone would want them in their house kicking kitty litter all around the room and scrathing and SPRAYING your furniture. I like dogs better if the crap inside they know they are in trouble, and they dont BLOW/PISS on anything so they know it is theres! yucky smelly cats! i think i would be more worried about what carpet deodorant you are going to use after they leave.

LOL - I can sympathise hun. Moomin absolutely hates the flea spray and it's like planning a military operation to catch and spray. He will sulk for a couple of days until he realises that there is tuna in the bowl LOL

Let me guess, you didn't have the money this time to buy the drops. lol Your poor cats! I pity them having to endure the spray. But then, the spray is much easier/cleaner than the powder. Now that my cats are strictly indoor cats, I only buy the Revolution for my dog. So far, no fleas/ticks.

You hit the nail right on the head hon. Usually I use the Frontline Plus, and it works great. But with hubby being the only one with an income right now, since they are dragging their feet on their decision for my Social security disability, buying the "good stuff" is not an option. And I can't use the powder because Prance, Missy, and Fluffy have really bad reactions to it. I ended up taking Missy to the vet last time I used the powder because it made her start coughing so hard that she couldn't catch her breath, and it wouldn't let up. I can use Sevin Dust, but then I have little white paw tracks all over everything. So I'm stuck with the spray at the moment. I might buy the Hartz Plus one spot treatment next time. It worked pretty well when I used it last year during another tight period of my life. And it's so much easier and less dangerous to my poor skin. LOL

Eight! Good grief that's a big family!
Poor little things. It's such a shame that we can't explain to them that we do these things for their own good! Mine always think they're being punished when I have to give them pills or their flea drops. I always feel so guilty! I've never had to mace them with flea spray though! Poor you as well!

Actually, there's a total of 11 cats, PLUS two dogs! It's a zoo around here, believe me. I only had enough spray for the inside kitties, so the outside ones got lucky and didn't have to be tortured. Hahahaha! But usually they are fairly hard to catch anyway, so I HAVE to use the one spot stuff on them. It's much easier to sneak up on them when they are asleep and just squeeze the tube on their fur. Believe me, if you tried the spray on your babies, they would probably REALLY lay the guilt trip on you for a long time. LOL
